Sooo Long 450r

Summary:
I currently own this driver, and a Callaway ERC II. Both are 9 degree, and both have standard length firm shafts. The Integra has a Harrison titanium shaft with Winn grips.

First off, the Integra has a larger head, but feels lighter. The club is very nice looking, blue head and shaft...almost too pretty. Draws too much attention.

The Callaway is a very nice driver. Long and accurate, but the Integra is a Ferrrari and the Callaway is a Corvette. The sweet spot is larger, the ball launches off the club face, and the sound is very nice. The ERC II is soo loud it kind of begs to be questioned.

The Integra 450r is longer than the Callaway by 10-20 yards, and is nearly as accurate. Part of the reason it's longer for me is that I can swing harder with the larger sweetspot. The Callaway's sweetspot is quite small actually. The integra basically lets me get the minimum face technology on neary every stroke, so I am consistantly longer.

I hit 260-300 yards on every drive with this club, and I range from 230-280 with my Callaway. The difference is not such a big deal on one drive, but it adds up big over the course of the day.

One downfall is you need the monster tees with this 450 cc head. I used the standard tees a couple of times and ended-up toping the ball over half the time. The other downfall is bad hits will go farther the wrong direction. Sounds stupid, but hey it's an issue. You can mis-hit a ball three fairways out of bounds. This club is not for golfers who struggle with the big-stick. If I hit the rest of my bag as well as my driver I'd play in the 70's and 80's instead of the 90's.

integra tf 405, 9 degrees, stiff

Summary:
Quite simply the hottest driver i've ever hit! it's forgiveness is incredible! and as for the distance...almost embarrassing! i'm 6ft 4 and 230 lbs and have always been considered a long hitter, generally 300 yards plus on my drives....i'm averaging 340 yards with this baby and have been close on 400 yards (wind assisted)! the forgiveness and clubhead size has given me huge confidence of the tee, i feel i can't miss....my drives used to be long but very inconsistent due to using a regular shaft..since changing to stiff...holy moly!!!

It is virtually a clone of the taylor made r580...although i got my integra dirt cheap in an auction, why pay £275 + for the r580 when you can get the tf 405 for 1/3 of the price? i have tried the r580 as my friend has one, and i believe the integra is more consistent and marginally longer. do yourself a favour and buy one in stiff flex and let it rip...you won't be disappointed!

Summary:
First driver, works well, does exactly what others have said about Integras - with relatively no effort, I can acheive great distance. but if mis-swung, the underside of the club can dent... - probably due to my lack of experience.
