R7 SuperQuad

Summary:
To all you chaps out there complaining bout this baby, take note.
You have to have the correct shaft and weight setting for your swing. It's no use bashing an excellent product when you have the incorrect setup in to begin with.

For starters, i have been playing for 2 years now and have brought my handicap down to single figures. Secondly i am a Mizuno Disciple.
So when my Mp560 packed up, I went driver hunting and came across this beauty.

I had my V2 Extra Stiff shaft taken from my Mizuo and fitted to to the R7 SQ and WOW!!!! I used to average around 280 meters with my Mizuno, but now I average around 310 to 320 meters (Not Yards) with this baby.

It all comes down to the fit. So if you feel the shaft is too whippy and you get no real distance and consistency, then change the shaft. Most people, even mid to high handicappers with moderate swing speeds will benefit from having a stiffer shaft in their driver than their irons. So go do your homework before bashing a great product.

Summary:
Just bought an R7 SQ 10.5 loft with a regular flex shaft. I am very dissappointed with this club. the wiehts are set to max draw, i do hit it straight but only getting about 250 yards on my drives im going to but a stiff shaft in it and see if there is any differance if not back to my 454 big bertha. would not reccommend this club

R7 SUPERQUAD

Summary:
I have played with the old R7 Quad for several years. I got an R7 425 TP a couple years ago to replace the Quad but hated it. I went back to the old R7 Quad. I hit the old R7 Quad about 280 with the occasional 300+ drive (draw tendancy) I was messing around at Dicks Sporting Goods one day and was hitting the TM Burner and the SuperQuad. To my disbelief, I was launching the SuperQuad like 290 carry and 325 roll. It was on sale so I said what the heck..Im buying this. The first time I hit the SuperQuad on the course was Saturday morning with my single digit handicap buddies. After I hit about three drives 320+ I was a believer and my buddies were over looking in my bag. (mainly beacuse they were 50 yds behind me - ha) This is an awesome club - same feel as old R7 Quad, same control, quite a bit longer. Sergio should have this in his bag instead of that Burner.LOL

R7 Superquad

Summary:
I bought this after using my old R7 quad TP and i'm very dissapointed. Its only a tad longer and is very erratic. the shaft felt whippy and horrible. i've hit half as many fairways. i'm going to go back to my r7 and hit it 270 in the fairway instead of 280 out of bounds.

Taylormade R7 Superquad

Summary:
The club is long, accurate, and constant. The sound is great as well as the look. I had the R7 460 but in my opinion the sound and quality is better with the R7SQ. I bought this club on eBay last year for a great price although the condition was below par. The club came with a premium shaft (aldila-stiff) and I hit it great. I recently switched shaft (graphite design) and hitting it even better. I have it set with max relief from the right side and it appears to work. I would recommend it.
My value rateing is based on my Ebay purchase- $140.00
