Description MOI stands for Moment Of Inertia. Insight stands for a whole lot of it. An extreme MOI of 5,000 provides greater stability at impact, reduces side spin and increases ball speed. This means your mis-hi...

Model Reviewed: Adams BUL 5000 Driver
Summary: I picked this driver up on the cheap at rockbottom golf and absolutely love it. I have played lots of different drivers and this is the best combination of distance, accuracy, and forgiveness that I have found. I have played Orlimar woods for years and love their drivers, going back to the original HipTi 420, and had been playing their HTi 440 driver, which is a great stick--very long but not as straight as the BUL. I wanted to go with a driver with the new MOI geometry, and played a Cleveland HiBore for a while, as well as a Macgregor MacTec NVG2 460 (both regular and tour versions). Those are also nice sticks, but not as accurate at the BUL. This is a much better looking club than the HiBore--a perfect blend of new geometry and MOI characteristics with a more traditional look and feel than either the more radical square or scooped designs. I have the stock Aldila 65 gram shaft in stiff flex, which works great for me with the 10.5 loft. This club hits the ball on a higher trajectory than other drivers I have used, but the launch angle seems perfect to me, and I get huge bounces in the fairway. More airtime than roll regarding distance, and I could probably play this in a 9.5 if I wanted to. At first, I found the feel a little "dead" compared to other more traditional drivers I have hit, but based on my experience with the HiBore and other high MOI drivers, I think that is a product of the new geometry, which creates more of a hammer effect and less of a spring effect at contact. On the whole, this is a super club--very long, very forgiving, and most of all very straight, which is important for me since I tend to fight a hook. I'll have this one in my bag for a long time.
Customer Service: No experience with customer service, but have played other Adams products and still own a set of Adams irons that I love--never had a quality problem.

Summary: Outstanding driver! I've been hitting the Callaway FT-3 - but had trouble keeping it in play. Picked up this driver after reading positive reviews (plus the fact that I only paid $80 for a new one) - and I am a big fan of this club. I have the 9.5 loft with the stock shaft - and my ball flight is excellent and I hit it as long as any other driver - but with better accuracy. In my opinion, this is the best value in golf - and I plan on having this driver in the bag for some time!
Summary: I stumbled across this model after searching on EBay for any driver that had a Prolaunch Regular shaft. This shaft is the 'one' for me that seems to max my game and confidence.
EBay threw up quite a few results for me, including the Adams B.U.L.
Then, after looking at several reviews on here and elswhere, I thought I would give it a go.... AND AM I SO GLAD I DID!
B.U.L is meant to mean Big, Ugly, Long - but in my mind it is Beautiful, Underrated, Leviathan !!!
The shape of it is truly a work of art ; none of this square angled nonsense, not a traditional shape either - a sort of mixed hybrid vista. The MOI is a gnats whisker under 5000, hence the name, so you know it will be good for average Joes like me.
Over the ball, the club looks slightly closed, enough for me to feel confident my drive will not fade as it normally does.
Face is not too deep or too long.. in fact, it all feels and looks perfect.
I know the shaft is good for me - so no excuses available !
Out of the centre hits are a lovely rainbow trajectory (that may be the shaft more than the clubhead itself) - but the ball is out there, big time out there..
The longest club I currently own is the Nickent 4DX, and the Adams is at least as powerful; in fact, regarding off centre hits, the Adams BUL is more fore giving and thus longer.
The noise of the strike is in the ear of the beholder - some like the 'clang' of metal tin cans, some like a subdued 'dong' - this is somewhere in between..... the better the strike the more dong!
Any how - having bought this off EBay for £52 (about $95) it has to be the best valued Driver around.. and it will be in my bag for some little while..
Go BUL and Be Utterly Loved-up ;)

Summary: This is a great driver. I have been a golfer for only six months and had a knock off calaway fti driver before. I bought the adams bul 5000 on ebay for $110.00 it retails at golf usa for $299. I have used it for a month now and every drive is about 40 yards longer and is always straight. I am 52 years old so I got the 10 degree with senior or A flex.

Summary: I replaced my old Adams Redline with the Insight 3-4 weeks ago. I've always hit the Adams drivers well but I hit this a little straighter and to my surprise even a little longer than the Redline. I bought it now because with Golfsmith's 115% price guarantee I got it for only $127. It sold for $299 before that. Near every shot is lonnnng and straight. Now if I could only hit my irons as well.
