Model Reviewed: Callaway FT-3 Draw
Summary: This has to be the best driver ever made. Very long high drives every time with this club and extremely forgiving on mis-hits. High launch even pierces thru head-winds...Nice! Draw bias isn't overwhelming by any stretch...just a gentle draw when hit solidly. For those with a normal draw, this driver just makes it a tad stronger. Ball hits the ground running...I assume because of lack of spin. Driver sets up very square to ball; better than any driver I've seen. NVS 55 shaft is perfect for this club.

Summary: I was having problems putting my tee ball in play. Once I purchased this driver, my tee shots became much easier to put in play. Distance is very good. Now I can relax and put a smooth swing on the shot. This is an easy club to work with. I'd highly recommend this driver if you're struggling with your driver.

Summary: I recently i was playing a taylormade r5 draw driver, i loved it but then i swithed to a callaway fusion ft-3 driver and it has a much better feel than the taylormade drivers do. I think that if you are looking at buying a new driver you should look into the callaway drivers and get your driver fit to your standards. Callaway Rules!!

Summary: I play guitar as well as golf. Analogously, if you give a poor guitar to a great player, they can make it sound like an expensive guitar. Give a great guitar to a poor player and it will sound lousy.

I won’t bore you with my personal swing analysis; if you hit this club on the screws, you’ll be rewarded. I have a neutral, I’ve duck-hooked it, hit draws I’m proud of, and power fades; not necessarily when the hole warranted such shots.
I imagine, if you’re sucking your own ego and get too stiff a shaft, it’ll go right…a long way.
If you want to hit good drives, know the proper shaft flex for your game. It seems to me that, the people writing rave reviews have done their homework or possibly serendipitously stumbled on the their correct shaft flex.
Regarding its auditory quality, I wholeheartedly concur, it is most whiffle bat sounding. If you can’t live without a metallic ping then, this one is not for you. Strangely, FT3 hybrids are the most metallic sounding clubs I’ve ever heard.

Model Reviewed: Callaway FT-3
Summary: Currently hit the Taylor Made R7 but was looking for a second driver. Just purchased an FT-3 today and took it to the range to hit some balls. Wow! First one ripped right down the middle. I noticed that the club has a muted sound on impact and I liked it. It also has a nice feel on impact - a little softer and less "hard" than some of the other drivers I've hit. The club has an NV-65 shaft in it which is the same as my R7. My guess is that I'm getting a solid 10 yards further than my R7. I also enjoy the look at address. I only hit 5 drives when I had a bucket of 25 to hit. My last drive looked and felt so good, I quit hitting it to savor the moment. Looked at the face on that drive and the ball mark was right on the screws. Just my personal experience but this club is a keeper. Can't wait to play my first round. My R7 will not be in the bag when I do play. Paid $199 for the club on sale.
