Ping Ti SI

Ping Ti SI

Description
From Ping: At 323cc the TiSI is the largest, totally custom-fit titanium driver available today. More importantly (for most golfers), it's also one of the longest-hitting drivers on the market.

Review Abstract
Consumers absolutely love their Ping TiSi drivers and the confidence that it inspires with its huge club head. This driver is "very forgiving” and “makes a killer, 'head turning' sound at impact.” It is easy to "work" and gets tons of roll. The TiSi provides a “very high” trajectory, and “the ball goes a mile.” Many reviewers raved that they've "never driven the ball so well." The club is pretty expensive, but “worth every penny.”

Ping TiSi

Summary:
Funny to think this driver is almost "old school" now. I borrowed it one day from a buddy's trunk. 10.5 degree/RUD. Teed low, easy to catch the center of the face and hit it low and straignt. When I wanted a little oomph, was able to play it out front, high, and on the toe for a great long draw. He gifted it to me by the turn. Several years later, I'm still getting a kick out of its playability while my buddies try to keep up with the next new thing every year. It took a while for me to figure out how to hit a good fade with this club, and I finally had to settle on opening the face at address. The club's balance and other characteristics bring the face back to address position almost effortlessly. I can't stress enough how important it is to go with the setup that suits your swing. I have tried to hit each of the other combinations, and none of them work for me. Although I continue to try out new drivers at the pro shop, nothing gives me a noticable advantage in distance or accuracy, so the TiSi stays in my bag. This club can be had used for around $50 (or less) now at a lot of golf shops, & will perform great for the golfer who is very budget conscious.

ping tisi 10*

Summary:
WOW just about describes the performance of this stick... have struggle w/460 heads and shaft combos. seems I want to over swing with the big heads out today. weight wise can't feel them as good as I do this club. this stick has a harrison pro 2.5 stiff shaft and it really puts the ball out there. distance wise I can play with anyone. price wise this club allows you to also purchase anything else you might need. I paid 68.00 off ebay in MINT condition. Finally believe driver search is OVER.....

Tisi 11.5*

Summary:
I have always found this a hard driver to align it has an odd shape with an angular appearance, and for that reason my accuracy suffered it’s hard to hit straight shots from a miss aligned stance. Ignoring this possibly unique problem it’s a good club, distance from well struck shots is just as good as any of the newer drivers.
It is a little less forgiving than its bigger successors being slightly smaller with a smallish face, you need to see it to see how the face isn’t as big as the head suggests.
Although I was using a 11.5* model I found the trajectory fine high as I like it but with no loss of distance I honestly couldn’t see a great difference between this and a 10 degree in other drivers.
The last thing id like to comment on is the sound at impact this I really liked it’s a sharp metallic noise neither a dull thud like some composite clubs or an ear splitting ting like a Cobra but a sharp powerful noise like a rife blast.
If it wasn’t for my alignment issues id still be using this club.

10 Degree Driver

Summary:
I got this driver from my County Club, I always liked them, and jumped on an oportunity to get it for free. I took it out and played with it before I could even go to the range with it. I noticed it going furthur, but I needed practice with it.

At the range I hit about 5 balls and had it dialed in. Much longer and straighter than ever before. The sweet spot on this is more like a sweet zone, because it is huge. I really like this driver

Summary:
I matched this 8.5 degree head with a ust proforce 65 shaft and pow! Look out this ball just flies!

I know its kinda old and small by todays standards but in some regards I take pride in being the only one in my 4some not sporting a cantaloupe on a stick.

Lastly, note to all you guys crying about how your newly reviewed driver "sprays" balls all over the place: Take a lesson and learn how to swing. My bro hits it 280 - 300 consistantly with his $50.00 Ram driver from Canadian Tire.

Customer Service:
Never had to deal - but I have heard they are top shelf in the industry.
