Summary:
Notwithstanding that I play off a 9 handicap - my games real weakness has always been hitting a fairway wood.

Not anymore!

I have just bought the R7 TI (3 Wood).

This club is very long, forgiving, consistent and accurate, just what my game needed.

Well done Taylor Made!!!

(My only "gripe" is the high cost)

Summary:
Reax 60 shaft - Stiff. This club replaces a persimmon and I am not looking back. It is great off the tee and fairway. Weights are set 'neutral' and I get a good natural draw. Using a normal swing gets 230+. I can get a 10+ extra yards goosing the club off the tee and the shot shape just becomes a slightly bigger draw. The club is much more forgiving of mis-hits than my old trusty Louisville. I swung it with confidence from the get go - it felt great immediately. I'm sufficiently impressed with this club to go ahead and invest in the 460 TP driver.

Summary:
Sorry to say that this 3 wood has not impressed me. To be honest it dissapoints me so much that i often opt for my dual rescue #3 when i should be using this club instead but i have zero confidence in it right now. I bought it because i LOVE my r7 460 driver so much and thought i would get similar results with this fairway wood but sad to say that it is NOT the case. In fact, i hit this club so poorly that i have to swing like a little girl just to get it up and going and then it only goes about as far as my 5 iron does. Im not a great fairway wood player, in fact i might even venture to say that i suck at hitting them but i can say that my prevous 3 wood which was an Adams redline ti was MUCH better and was my go to club for the majority of the season until i bought my R7 460 driver. I am not going to give up on it yet though (because of the financial investment ive made) but i have to say that regardless of the amount of practice time ive spent with it i cant get this thing working right for me unless i just barely swing it and that is not a problem i have ever had before this club.

Summary:
I have tried almost every brand of fairway woods on the market and this is the one. Some are good from the tee and others are good from the fairway. This one does both! You can swing hard and hit it down the the middle or work it both ways. I have the weights standard and don't see any need to move.
