Tour Edge J-MAX Iron Wood Steel

Summary:
Most of the hybrids that I've tried all seem to be just miniature fairway woods with shortened shafts. I've been looking for a hybrid that's more of a beefed up 3 iron instead of a small headed 7 wood. This is the only club so far that fits the bill. I can put a 3 iron swing with a descending blow on the ball, which is really what this club calls for instead of having to make a fairway wood swing with a more sweeping arc. As a result I feel this club is, at least for me much more accurate especially off the tee on long par threes, tight shorter par fours, and in the fairway or short rough from the 200-210 yard range. You can put a normal swing on the ball and get a high trajectory, or use a knockdown swing for a lower trajectory and get comparable distance with both type of swings. I still prefer my Callaway Warbird 5 wood off the fairway and from light rough for shots in the 220 yard range, but if the premium is accuracy over distance this is the club I pull. That said, if you're looking for a hybrid that's more of an beefed up iron and less of a junior fairway wood, this would be a great addition to your bag. Also, if you go to drivingiron.com you can pick one of these up, customized to your specifications for lie and shaft length for around $55.00 including shipping. You can also find this link by going to touredge.com. Now that I'm in my 50's I don't have much occasion to use a 3 iron any longer and this has quickly become the favorite club in my bag.

Customer Service:
Excellent website, fast shipping, great product. The product quality is as good as anything out there but limited advertising has kept this club under the radar.
