Summary:
I am 15 and shoot in the 80's mainly due to bad putting. I have had the x-forged for a week.I have been playing TM Rac Os2s for a year and decided that I needed a stiffer shaft and less forgiving irons if i were to improve any further. I had a hit of the Cobra Pro CB, Mizuno Mp-57 and the X-forged.
i was left with the Cobras and the callaways and i chose the callaways in a Rifle flighted 6.0 shaft. I chose the callaways because they felt really soft and were slightly forgiving on
slight miss hits.
When you change from a cast head to a forged head the first thing you will notice is the amount of feedback you will get. If you miss hit these irons the feedback is not a harsh sting but rather a gentle reminder to hit the ball better next time.
If you hit these irons flush you'll know it because it feels just that good!
If you are after a better players iron I would highly reccomend the callaway x-forged. they are quite expensive though but well worth it for the buttery soft feel.

Customer Service:
I bought these from drummond and ordered them on Saturday and got them 2 working days later.

x forged 3-p px 6.0

Summary:
i bought these when i was shooting igh 80's golf. they have helped me to improve from around a 14 h.cap to around a 7 in 3 months :D
(admittedly, i did go to america and hit about 200 balls a day, then played 18 holes :D)
they are beautiful when you pure one, but i still think they are a bit unfrgiving. not that i mind ;)
trajectory control is good, distance control is good, chipping is awesome, and i can shape shots when i need to :D
(i prefer to hit it straight, why work it when you dont have to? i'm not a pro :D)
the rifle shafts make the clubheads feel so much better :D i find them to be about 5 yrds longer than my orevious nike's) 150 yrd 8 iron ;)
all in all, these clubs are amazing and i definitely recommend them if you are going to dedicate a lot of time to improving your game :D

Customer Service:
i have not had to use the customer service, but when i had a chat with a pro and he watched me hit some balls, he said i may need half inch longer clubs :D
he phoned callaway and they offered to do it for free, but unfortunately i wasnt in the country long enough to send them away to be lengthened :(

Callaway X Forged Irons 6.0

Summary:
I recently bought a set of Callaway X Forged irons, 6.0 Project X shafts. First round I played with them was today. Wow - what a set of irons!! I previously had a set of Callaway 2004 Big Bertha's which I absolutely loved - till I hit these Forged X irons. They hit the ball straight as an arrow. I'm a fairly consistent ball striker - but shoot in the mid 80's on a good day (mainly due to silly mistakes around the green - sound familiar?). Anyway - I did a lot of reading up a lot on these irons and they live up to the hype - sweet as butter off the club, and even go straight on mis-hits. Distances are deadly accurate - right on the money. My swing speed is high 80's low 90's on a good day, 9 iron 125, 8 iron 140, 7 iron 155, etc. I feel within a few weeks I'll really start to see a big difference in my game - due to the focus on ball striking that is necessary with these clubs. It can only get better - right??? I picked these up off E-bay at approximately 1/2 price (~ $450 for 3-PW) - brand new off the display shelf (got lucky!). I wouldn't recommend paying the full $900 - wait and buy some off E-bay or from someone who jumped too soon to a player's iron. I would recommend these for consistent players in the mid/high 80's and lower. If you can't hit the ball straight with cavity backs - stick with those till you can get it going straight. These do require a good sound swing.

caallaway X-forged

Summary:
If you love the feel of "pure" shot then these clubs are for you. If you shoot in the 90's or 100's you may need to get better before you buy these. These clubs do require you to be able to find the sweet spot. Just like with any players clubs, the better you play the better they will reward you. I've played Mizuno MX-20's for years & yes it's true that nothing feels better the a well struck Mizuno. But with these they are just as smooth. I am about the same length, even though these clubs are 1 degree weaker. I demoed taylormade tour burners, mizuno mp60's ping g10's and these were the best of all.If you have played cast clubs, you need to try these.
I bought these from Callaway Preowned for less than half of the new cost& the clubs are in great shape.

Customer Service:
I bought these on a Tuesday & they showed up 2 days later. Callaway's service is top notch.

Summary:
You don't buy a formula 1 car, if you only know how to drive a normal nice family car, and you don't play with a set of Callaway X-forged and think, you will get any good results out of it, if you only play golf a couple of times a month.

I call these Irons for my small babies :-)
I hit half to one iron longer, than I did with my old ones, and much more accurate. After I play, I can stand outside and wash them and enjoy how beautiful there are. It has become a ritual to me, standing there and enjoy how beautiful they are. You don't find many clubs to compare with.

If you know how to hit the ball, you will not be disappointed getting these, that's a promise!

I bought my babies nearly brand new from a man who got them as a birthday present... now when he has just started playing golf!!! He has seen them somewhere and thought they would be just him.... because he liked how they look!!!

And yes they are pretty, and I think he founded out the hard way, that he should learn how to drive, before he tries to drive down to the local supermarket in a formula 1 car, but it's easy to see here at golfreview, that he is not the first, who has done that mistake!
