Apex Edge Plus

Summary:
Since Callaway's takeover of the Ben Hogan company I had a feeling they might discontinue the Hogan line of clubs. I have always wanted a set and made the plunge with the Apex Edge Plus. Firstly the feedback one gets with ones shots is great. These clubs force you to groove your swing. The feel of a crisply struck shot is pure Hogan....butter. These clubs also let you really work the ball on the course. They bring the shotmaker out in you! The over all feel is great and the clubs are very well 'balanced.' I will be playing these for many years to come.

HOGAN APEX

Summary:
WOW!!!! I HAVE HAD THESE IRONS SINCE 2004 AND LOVE THEM. WHEN YOU STEP UP TO THE FIRST TEE AT YOUR LOCAL CLUB OR SOMEWHERE NEW AND PEOPLE SEE THAT YOU ARE HITTING THESE IRONS, ITS KINDA INTIMIDATES EM' BECAUSE OF THIER SIZE. LEFT TO RIGHT, RIGHT TO LEFT, OR DOWN THE MIDDLE CAN BE ACOMMPLISHED WITH THESE BAD BOYS. THE ONLY COMPLAINT THAT I HAVE IS WITH THE MIS-HITS. YOU REALLY CAN TELL; HOWEVER, LIKE OTHERS IT HAS MADE ME A BETTER ALL AROUND PLAYER AFTER DIALING IN ON MY SWING.

Hogan Apex Plus

Summary:
Great club. I have been a golfer stuck in the mid 80's for about three years and looking to get to the next level. Since I have used these irons, I am now consistently lower 80's upper 70's. Because of the awful feel on a mis-hit, it has forced me to concentrate on my swing. My swing has not only improved on my irons, but has improved in my driver and three wood as well. Once again great club, but definitly would not suggest it to a beginner or someone who is not a good ball striker with his irons.

Hogan Apex Plus

Summary:
The Ben Hogan Apex Plus are absolutely the best irons I have every played. The forged head feedback is immediate and the forgiveness is geared for the consistent player. This means you must practice a repeatable swing to reap the benefits from these clubs.

The shafts yield a very powerful flight and you can shape your shots for any situation. Though I am a large player, I swing the number 3 shaft which is a regular flex. This flex gives me the opportunity to control my tempo and dial in those in-between-club yardages.

I cannot say enough about the Hogan quality as well. The Company is first class in workmanship.

Customer Service:
Five stars for the Ben Hogan Golf Company. I hope Callaway dosen't tinker with what works extremely well. Leave'em be Callaway, leave'em be!

2007 Ben Hogan Apex Plus

Summary:
Very high quality irons that provide xlnt feedback and control. Fairly forgiving as well, but you need to be a good ballstriker to get maximum benefit from these. The Apex #4 shafts are lighter and slightly more flexible than DGS-300, making them ideal for swingspeeds(driver) of 90-100 mph. The feel of a solid shot is pure Hogan, and will inspire you to improve your game.
