Summary:
I'm looking to find out what my custom made Kenneth Smith clubs are worth? How would I find that out? Please reply with any information.

Summary:
Was loooking to get a set of forged cavity back blades. Looked into the MacGregors, Mizuno MP30s, Titleist etc... Being left handed and in a small town I was unable to hit any of them. Demo days are few and far between in this area, so while browsing Ebay's lefty golf area I came across a set of Kenneth Smith Royal Signet CB forged irons, 3 thru SW for a buy it now price of about $380. The clubs were brand new with dynamic gold S300 sensicore shafts and Kennith Smith cord grips. Had the clubs adjusted 2 dgrees flat, left the loft alone. The clubs are very beautiful, so much so that I didn't even want to use them and get them dirty or scratched. Well, they were bought to be played with so I did just that. They are very nice, fairly easy to hit and are more forgiving than I thought they would be. The sensicore shafts are almost as good as grahpite in dampening the mis-hits. Good hits have that very satisfying "forged" click. Distance and trajectory are about average, not quite as long as my game improvement Toski irons (they are 1 degree strong). The irons are very accurate I have played my 2 of my last 3 reounds in the high 70s and the other was an 82 at a more difficult course. I was hitting a lot of greens. Distance control is much better than the grahpite shafts I have been using. Bottom line, for half of what the Mizunos and MacGregors are going for (even on Ebay)I had to try them, sight unseen. Definately worth the money. Other info, I've always been a pretty good ball striker with my irons, (2 iron off the tee is my most reliable shot to get the ball in the fairway). My short game and my wanting to use the driver off the tee kept me from shooting lower scores. Lately I've been using a little more course management. 2 iron and 4 wood off the tee combined with more accurate iron play will have my handicap dropping soon.

Summary:
I purchased a set of Royal Signet Forged Stainless Steel Irons directly from Kenneth Smith's IT Sales department. Since I knew exactly how I wanted to have the irons set up, they were able to make them for me at a very reasonable price. I had test hit the Taylormade RAC MBs and was going to purchase them, but decided to by clubs forged in America instead of China. These clubs have been FANTASTIC. With just five rounds under my belt, I've already dropped from the low 100s/high 90s down to the low 90s/high 80s. In fact, I broke 90 for the very first time in my life during my third round with these clubs. Since they are stainless steel instead of forged, they may likely be the last set of irons I ever buy.

Customer Service:
A really great group to deal with. Since the clubs were absolutely perfect, I really have not had any reason to deal with them since I purchased.

Summary:
I picked up a set of these used and made minor modifications to make them fit my swing. The forged stainless steel blades feel great. I concur with the opinion that the short and middle irons are wonderful but the long irons are too unforgiving. Considering the alternative clubs now being produced to replace long irons, I leave the 2 and 3 irons at home and use a 24-degree Rescue club instead. (It's getting to be that 4-pw is the usual configuration, unless you're really that good.)

Even though these clubs are amazingly expensive new (starting at $1500), I still rate them a 5 for value because, at any given moment, you can usually find 2 or 3 used sets up for auction on ebay or yahoo. It just takes extra work to get them to fit your swing. But you'll be glad you went to the trouble.

Summary:
I bought these irons used and sent them to K. Smith to have them fit to my specs. I love the short irons, like the mid irons, and don't care for the long irons. IMHO, they are the most beautiful irons available, and really are of a high quality. I would recommend anyone looking for a""classic style blade"" to give serious consideration to these irons.

The people at K. Smith were the best! The K. Smith rep worked with me to get the specs right, and I was totally impressed with their operation.
