Summary: Bought a set of R7's about six months ago to replace my Ping i3's, which were getting a little long in the tooth.
I was looking at a number of different clubs, but the salesman convinced me that the R7's were the next step beyond Pings. And he was right! They're still a game improvement club, but they certainly go farther (probably one club longer than the Pings) with the same amount of control and forgiveness. And Lord knows I need forgiveness.
I did buy the approach and sand wedges with the set, but ended up giving them to the kids - just too much mass in the heads for my taste. I'm sticking with my Cleveland CG10 wedges.
If you're looking for dependable, forgiving irons with some good distance, give the R7's a try.

Summary: All I can say is WOW!!! I have played forged clubs all my life and for the first time found a set of cavity backs that you can actually move the ball left to right AND right to left. Very good feel and response off the club head. Sweet spot is a bit larger than forged so the forgivness is better. 1st full round with them shot 75 and hit 13 greens! What a confidence booster!

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made R7 Irons
Summary: Went outdoors to a driving range. I tryed the X-20, Ping G5 (both way to bulky) Nickent 3DX (great club for a not so big name) king cobra (FP) all shots seem to go a little left but not bad. I was torn between the R7's, Nike CCI, Ping I5. The Pings are nice, maybe a 7/10 in rating. The Nikes were actually really good. The head is a little heavy but had a nice feel when you hit the ball. Don't let the club head foul you, there probably the smallest in the game improvment area, but they seem to work fine. Also Nike put in descent shafts for the first time in Nikes history. The R7's take the cake. Not only do they feel good at address but the feel good when you hit. I've been playing Mizuno MX-25 and I thought they were good, but these R7's rock. This is the only product the Taylor Made actually made right! There drivers suck, and most of there irons are just o.k. If your in the market for really good brand name club give these a try. If you dont care for brand names, try the Nickent 3DX but bee worn there not in the market to custome fit you.
I know what I'm playing with this year, Do you?, if you dont know, you have to have the R7's in your bag. I assure you'll be scoring lower.
Customer Service: Great service. They custome fit me in about 30 min. Even up-graded the grips free.

Model Reviewed: TaylorMade r7 irons
Summary: Bought these clubs around 2 months ago and have played with them around 12 times. Very easy to hit, have noticed an extra 15 to 20 meters extra distance across all the irons. Handles miss hits well, very well balanced. Tried the taylormade cgb's, callaway x20, and new srixon irons before I bought the r7's and found not alot of difference between them all, only found a bit more consistancy with the r7's than the rest. overall they are an excellent set of irons, very very happy with my purchase.
Customer Service: good

Model Reviewed: R7
Summary: I just recently got the R7 last week. I just added 10 to 15 yards with my irons. My 8 iron is going 150 to 155 now. Big improvement. The feel is great as well. Very forgiving in all aspect. I can control both draw and fade. Highly recommended irons.
