Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Vulcan Golf Hybrid Z3+ Summary: I've been playing the original Hybrid Z3+ irons - 3-PW for 3 years. These clubs deliver most of the characteristics that I wanted in a hybrid - I can play the ball up in my stance, sweeping instead of taking a divot, and get great trajectory combined with really good distance too. As you would expect, these clubs are great to chip with from the fairway or fringe. Vulcan used a good shaft and that contributes to the good trajectory. As you expect with a hybrid, the clubs hit very straight (good MOI). The 3 iron is a little hard to hit due to the low loft and I've recently taken it out of the bag in favor of a 5 wood.
My only criticism of the club is that the face is too shallow and as a result I'm keeping an eye out for new hybrids that have the same wide sole but a deeper face to go with it. It seems to be too easy to cut under the ball occasionally and lose about 10+ yards distance, especially on the short irons.
The ball often sits up a little in bermuda rough and that's really a tough shot with these clubs due to the shallow face. (Are you listening Vulcan?)
I paid $299 for the set 3 years ago, I see that Vulcan is pricing quite a bit higher now. Customer Service: No need for service Similar Products Used: Big Bertha irons
