| | Reviewed by: tony, Shoots in the 80s Summary: I love Ruth Park. I have played it since I was in college, when the fairways were like concrete. Today, the fairways are soft and in decent condition throughout the year. The greens are flat and true, though slow. To break 80 here, keep the ball in play and chip accurately. This course is the perfect exemplar of the "everyman" muni course. Anybody can play it and have fun. Customer Service: very friendly

| | Reviewed by: kbruegg09, Shoots in the 80s, from St. Louis Summary: Ruth Park has turned its self from a sand pit to a nice 9 hole municipal course. To try to compare Ruth Park to country club or high end public course is crazy, as I feel one reviewer tried to earlier. With fairways that are growing in to well maintained greens and tee boxes, Ruth Park is a great course for children, seniors and newcomers to the game. Though a short course at around 3000 yards, the uneven lies and small greens make the course what it is. With all of the play the course recieves, the staff of 3 course maintance workers has done a great job keeping the course very playable all summer long. Customer Service: very friendly

| | Reviewed by: Russ Do not want to say, Shoots in the 70s, from St. Louis Summary: The other guy clearly does not know what he is talking about. Yes the course is wide open but there is only one bunker on the whole course not four. Thet have put in zoiysa fairwas and arond the green. It is getting to be a good course for the not so serious golfer. I feel you can work on some good iorn play out there. The greens are in great shape but rather slow. They keep them a tad longer in the summer do they do not burn out.

| | Reviewed by: Brad, Shoot in the 70s, from St. Louis, MO, USA Summary: Have you ever went into your back yard and chipped around or hit balls into a field? Well that is what this is like. I think it is around $7 (cheper if you live in the area) to play so you get the idea. It is very short and has grass. There is about 4 shallow sand traps on the whole course. There is a hole or two that have an intereting design and are fun to play. The greens however, are some type of very tough and very course something? I have never seen anythin like it but it holds up to the abuse it takes. Putting and chipping here are so unnatural compared to bent grass that it is not even good practice. Basically it is a nine hole driving range with holes that you can walk. My value rating takes in consideration the extremely low cost. Customer Service: very friendly from my experience Similar Courses Played: None
