XL 2000 Spin

Summary:
SPin?? I don't think so. It's like hitting a piece of bone china. For high handicappers Top-Flite is a logical choice for both value and price but anyone looking for spin performance off most 2 piece balls is in the wrong area of the market. Maxfli Noodle are about the only ones I've tried in the 2 piece category that were good performers. I normally play a 3 piece spin ball so this review may be a little biased. If you really want a 2 piece with some spin try the Maxfli's - a few more $$ but better performing.

Top Flite XL2000 Excetional Spin

Summary:
I have been using this ball off and on for the past couple of years and really love this ball. I play many of the Top Flite 2000/3000 balls and have had great successwith all of them. The newer 3000 super spin is a little longer and they play the same for me. For a ball that stops on a dime and backs up like a Chevy stuck in reverse the distance is fine with me. I average 285 off the tee so distance is not a real concern but control is. Accurate, putt well and good distance. I've played many of the so called premium balls and frankly, they are not worth $ 20-$30 more a dozen. Frankly, the average golfer does need to pay $50 dz on a golf ball, the 2000 exceptional spin is all the ball you need. For those of you who think the ball is to short off the tee.....I hit a 345 yard drive and hit a 5 iiron on a 546 yard par 5 yesterdaY WITH THIS LITTLE OL SPIN BALL. ps. SANK THE EAGLE PUT TOO!!! i DO GET LUCKY ONCE IN A BLUE MOON NOT BAD FOR A 53 YEAR OLD MAN.

XL 2000 Exceptional Spin

Summary:
These balls are great. I almost broke 100 with them. The distance is not different from XL 2000 Extra Long but the Exceptional Spin can stop on the green on approach shots much better. The Exceptional Spin is a little softer than the Extra Long, but still much harder than the Topflite Tour. For my ability, I think the Exceptional Spin is a very good ball and worth its value. This is a very good all around ball with exceptional value and durability.

Top Flite XL2000 Exceptional Spin

Summary:
K-mart had 50% off all Clearance items, so I picked up a 15 pack of these balls. True to form they are not good for distance, but they are excellent into greens. I use them only for Executive courses and Pitch & Putt's. If you use it for those purposes you'll have found the bargain of a liftime !

TopFlite XL2000 Exceptional Spin

Summary:
I've been playing this ball for 2+ years and have been very pleased with its feel and spin into greens. The deciding factor for me purchasing the TopFlite XL2000 Exceptional Spin has been its price. As Lee Trevino says, "your golf balls shouldn't cost more than your round.

However, my distance is suffering using these balls. I'm at least a half club short with my irons and the balls don't go anywhere off the driver. This summer I'm going to pay a litte more per dozen and switch to the Titleist DT SoLo.

I recommend the TopFlite XL2000 to long ball hitters that are looking to increase their shot stopping capabilities while sacrificing a little distance.
