Srixon XXIO 3 wood

Summary:
I am now officially a Srixon fan.

Just like one of the other reviewers here (Tom Williams) I played Ping TISI Tec woods. I purchased the XXIO Driver and as you can see from my other review I am crazy about it. This led me to borrow a XXIO 3 wood for seven days from my local Pro. I have had it two and purchased it.

It is longer and more forgiving then the Ping TISI Tec. From the deck it is exceptionally easy to hit and from the tee it is straight as you like. We have two holes that are very long and narrow, normally I am hitting either a 4 iron or 7 wood in to the green because I have had to use the 3 wood of the tee, with this I hit a 6 iron into the first and a 4 iron into the second. It seems to be at least one club length longer then the Ping, or maybe it just gives you more confidence to hit it a bit harder, I don’t but the end result is you are a long way down the middle.

The only thing that I don’t like about the club is the grip, but as I said before a few dollars sorts that out.

Next thing to try will be the irons!

Summary:
I just played with the XXIO for the first time today. What a great club. I am a 5 handicap with a high swing speed and the club out performed any driver I have ever had. I have had Taylormade, Titleist, Cobra, and Callaway drivers.

Srixon XXIO 3-wood 14*

Summary:
this 3-wood is without a doubt the easiest wood to hit. it goes for ever. I had been stuck on Ping-Tec, never thought I would give it up... it is gone!!! when I hit this right it almost goes further than my driver. it is very straight and long. I tried the driver in this series without much success.
All I can say is at least hit this wood before you spend your $.....

Summary:
Been playing an orlimar tri metal plus 3 wood for several years now (14*)very accurate and long .....the srixon is even more accurate and even easier to it...never thought I would change 3 wds but this is an incredibly sweet club...I am not yet sure if it is as long as the orlimar but I am not overly concerned!
