Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Cleveland TA1 Summary: Having struggled with my iron shots for quite some time, i decided it was time to make a change. it seemed as though i was constantly fighting a draw/hook, overshooting my approaches and had trouble holding greens. i had the chance to try a set of mizuno blades and i really liked the set up. i felt like the club sat more open at address and i could hit the ball cleaner.
at a recent club demo, i was able to try various clubs back to back. the taylormade tp combo's, the mizuno, and the clevelands. my first instict was to try the cleveland cg2's, which have very little offset, are a cavity forging and have a nice look at address, however, i felt like they didn't have much feedback. both the cg1's and the ta1's felt great!
i don't consider myself an excellent golfer. i don't think of myself as the guy that plays blades, but, i was amazed. the ta1's have a great ball flight, consistent distance, are workable without being work, and mis-hits aren't penalized that much.
i have now had a couple of days at the range and one round with them and have been thrilled with this new set of clubs.
Customer Service: i have owned the ping eye 2's and the taylormade rac lt's. in demo, i tried the tm rac tour combo, mizuno mp 32, cleveland cg2, callaway x18 tour, cleveland cg1, and titlest 705 (not sure about model number, forged cavity back).
Similar Products Used: i have called cleveland golf on a few occasions and have been impressed. everyone was helpful, answered my questions and offered insight. most importantly, i was able to get a live voice on the phone. thanks cleveland.
