Callaway 2004 Big Bertha Stainless Steel

Summary:
My last review was in Sept.2006, I've been playing with this club since then (after reshafting with Grafalloy Blue ProLaunch) and I am really enjoying this club (I have to admit that Callaway stock shaft did not work for me). Off the Tee I could hit 200-210 yds with very good ball dispersion. I am not a long hitter so I have to reply on playing smart and accuracy. This Callaway club is as good as any 3-wood club out there, IMO, if not better... I also bent my X-16 Callaway irons to 2-degree upright and they make a HUGE difference in my game. I am consistently shooting in the 87-92 now, so hopefully I will be playing much better by the end of this season

Customer Service:
No one is better than Callaway in terms of customer service... Period !!!

Callaway BB 2004 15-degree 3-wood

Summary:
I am not a very long hitter, shooting in the 87-95 range which is Ok with me. I have a 15-degree 3-wood that came with the Callaway R-flex stock graphite shaft. I liked it but I had to compensate too much when I used it (it's not the club, it's my swing), i.e. I had to slightly close the club face with a strong grip and aimed left with the hope that the ball will land on the fairway (it works 75% of the time). I had it reshafted with the R-flex Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue and it sure made a big difference, I hit it at least as long as before , but more importantly now I have a "square" set up and "neutral" grip which I feel a lot more comfortable with... The ball now has a much better flight because I don't have to close the club face... With time, I am pretty sure that I would enjoy this club a lot more. In fact, I like the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue shaft so much I am going to reshaft my Callaway Titanium 2004 360cc driver with it, hopefully my game would be more consistent... I think the Grafalloy Prolaunch has a 2.8 low torque

Customer Service:
Callaway customer service department is the best. I would rate it A+++++ . I buy Callaway golf clubs due to its customer service department. Callaway will bend backward to work with customers. This is the model that other companies should use as benchmark

Summary:
bought it from callaway preowned in very good condition(it was). Know that it's in reality a 5wood. Played it in rough, in fairway, off the tee, and with uneven lies. I found it easy to hit, which is a bit surprising since fairway woods have always given me inconsistent results. The key, I believe, is the very high trajectory. My big bertha 2004 3 iron is 20 degrees vs. this one at 21 but the difference in initial ball flight elevation is huge.

The club is a regular graphite shaft and is a keeper.
