m42

Summary:
I have been useinf a r5tp then tried a m42 and was shocked. The ball speed was 10mph faster and that resulted in a carry of 240 with a roll out in the 250 to 260 range. THE REAL SUPRISE WAS THAT ONE OR SHOTS per round that a perfect and the carry was 260 to 270 clearly 15 yrds better than before. The other suprise is price and quality! At 40 bucks on ebay and a GD YS6 shaft what a buy. Drivers are real personal but this is the best I have run into.

MacGregor V42 Eye-O-Matic

Summary:
I purchased this club off from eBay for $35.00 shipped NEW! I have never hit a driver so well in my life. I am consistantly out driving my father in law with his brand new Taylor Made. Quality is superb. The noise is loud, but I love it! I would recommend this club to anyone. I think that for the money there are none better!

Eye-O-Matic M42 10* Stiff

Summary:
This driver is superb value for money as i picked it up for £49.99 brand new from my local direct golf. For that steal of a price though, you get a club that is easily as stylish and well built as expensive drivers. i had been using a nike SQ for a while but what i like about the Mac is the solid head shape that sits perfectly square at address. As others have noticed, this driver does make quite a noise when struck well, but I find this comforting. As for distance, this driver is comparable to the nike but gives a better, mid trajectory ball flight. Miss hit shots still fly reasonably straight but are down on distance. Overall though, it is hard to fault considering the price, andhas replaced my nike driver, for the mean time anyway.

Customer Service:
Only annoying thing was the charge of £4.99 for the matching headcover. You never used to have to pay for it, so i don't see why direct golf have introduced this policy. I would rather the club cost £5 more so as i was not left with the bitter feeling that i had been ripped off.

M42 11* Stiff YS-6.1

Summary:
This is great driver for those on a budget. I found this on E-Bay for $30. The nice YS-6.1 Graphite Design shaft alone is worth more then that. I have a swing speed well over 100mph, so when I connect, it goes a long way. The problem is that this is not the most forgiving club on miss-hits. However, everytime you hit the sweet spot, it's worth every penny. In short, this is a great driver for those with a consistent swing. If you still tend to slice, work on your swing first, then look for this bargain.

Summary:
I picked up this club and didn't even need to stick to basics. I could just grip it and rip it...straight. I'm only 14 and I hit it 250 yards without barely any roll.
