Summary:
I guess some folks hit these well, but I really thought the stick was stinko. The feel was extremely poor, very tinny and weak. The stick looks good, and I was really disappointed in its performance. I have tried most hybrids, and the Nickent and Hogan CFT are my favorites... this hybrid is not even close to those two. The used place I frequent has many for sale, should tell you something, no? I do look forward to trying the exotics hybrid when it becomes affordable, but I recommend you pass on the JMax Ironwood.

Summary:
When these first came out I tried the #4 and #2. I found with the offset that I kept pulling left. A year ago I switched to the new Tour versio with the Aldila shaft. The Tour version is very different with almost no offset and a smaller head. I love these hitting straight and high. I sold a Callaway Heavenwood as it was no longer needed. A great value at $119 with the Aldila shaft. Highly recommend.

Customer Service:
Have never needed. Tour Edge quality is as good as any I have seen. The only shortcoming is the headcover slips off too easily.

Tour Edge JMAX Bazooka Iron Woods

Summary:
While trying to improve my golf performance from the 220 yd to 175 yd distances, I stumbled across the Tour Edge JMAX Bazooka Iron Woods. Hitting the 220 - 200 yd shots has never been a problem, however, my desire was to find something to tighten up the accuracy with. I went through a bunch of 3 and 4 irons, fairway woods and rescue clubs, never being convinced I had a club I could totally depend on until the JMAX Iron Woods. My first test was a 215 yard approach shot from the center of the fairway to a highly elevated green. This was the first club I have ever stuck the green with this year. The JMAX Iron Woods have a much higher trajectory than conventional irons, and seem to have more than rescue clubs and fairway woods. This allows shots from this distance to land softly instead of line-drive off the back of the greens. These clubs line up very nice, the additional weighting make keeping the club on plane very easy and the distance is superb. Did I mention these clubs are simple to hit as well? No need to try to force out extra distance as the additional weighting gives you all the distance you need and expect (once you get the clubs dialed in with real balls, not range balls). Even with the additional rear weighting I was able to work the ball into a nice right left draw with no trouble at all. I liked the #3 and #4 so much that I went back and found a complete set at Second Swing Golf that looked like they had never been hit at all (after their current 20% off sale, the whole set was $239 with all the brand new head covers). I have been experimenting with the #9 Iron Wood from 150-160 versus a 7 iron with great success. These iron woods are proving to me to be extremely accurate and much longer than conventional irons. I went back and got the #2 but at this time have not had time to test the distance. I was mainly looking for something for the longer Par 3's with this #2.

Summary:
The J-Max Iron Wood is the second generation of Tour Edge's hybrid line. These new clubs are vast improvement over the old ones.

I currently own a 2 and 4 and they are much more forgiving than any other hybrid that I have used. The 2 goes about 190 and the 4 about 175. The clubs hit the ball high, weird to get used to but you can hold the green on a long approach shot of 175 yards or more.

The shot dispersion is tight and it will tend to correct mistakes, especially to the right.

Like all Tour Edge clubs they can be customized for the same price. My clubs are 1 inch long and 2 degrees upright with midsize grips. I have the standard J-Max graphite shaft in stiff flex, which is really a soft stiff shaft for about 90 mph.

Summary:
I had used the old "Lift-off" Iron-wood clubs as rescue tools so when Tour Edge came out with the new full line of Jmax Iron-woods, I decided to order a set. I got the 3-SW, one inch longer shaft, 3* upright to accomodate my height and long legs. These clubs are easy to hit and do not dig into the turf as much as my old Pings and Wilson clubs did. They have a very crisp feel and a neat sound also. The fit and finish is exceptionally good and I have received a number of compliments from folks about the clubs. Each club has a head cover with a velcro clasp. Although not magic, and certainly capable of poor results when not swung properly (a frequent event for me), I have played better and with more confidence since purchasing these clubs. They setup easily, look very nice with a wide topstrap and feel great when swung well. I don't see any difference in ball flight as compared to other clubs I have used, but find a much more consistent distance with the Jmax because of the way the club strikes the ball.
