Cobra SS-I Irons

Summary:
These clubs are great!!! I bought them in 2004. Forgiving and accurate. Best irons I have ever owned. Thinking about stepping into the new Cobras though (FP's). Overall, great club for the money.

Corba SS-i Oversized

Summary:
Great set of Irons. I picked up the set used for a real decent price (3-PW). The irons are easy to hit and very forgiving. It is easy to hit the ball strait with this set of irons. The overzied club head is really nice and ball address.

Summary:
Great set of irons. They feel great in your hands and give you cinfidence standing over the ball. After impact you dont feel a thing because of the uretheraine insert on the back of the club. Forgiving. Great value.

Cobra SS-i

Summary:
After taking 4 years off of golf (played 3 before this) decided to get back into the game. I am a very long hitter with a swing speed of 105+. I use steel shafts due to the swing speed. I got these irons for an excellent price and as it is my first year back decided they would be good. The feel on these irons is amazing, beautifully weighted also. They are accurate, workable and generally a pleasure to play with. My driving and iron play is way beyond the level of my short game. The only possible complaint I have is that they are not very long, I hit 6 iron about 170 yds. I went home recently (to parents house) without my clubs, played with my brother's Taylor Made irons, had to go up at least 1 club if not 2 after skying some greens. Definately recommend and especially due to the price.

Cobra SSi

Summary:
I was on my business trip and got a rental set. This club is VERY VERY good, the feel is better than my Callaway X-16 irons. What caught me by surprise is that these light-wt steel shafts give me a better feel and same distance as of my 55-gr graphite shafts. I switched to graphite shaft with the thinking that it would give me more distance, but after this week I don't think it's true. If I ever bought another set of irons (maybe in 10 yrs because I just got my Callaway X-16 set 2 months ago) I would consider light-wt steel shaft because I think you can get a better feel and better control. These Cobra SSi clubs were VERY VERY easy to hit. I felt very good about these clubs, too bad that I played with them after I already bought my Callaway X-16. Don't get me wrong, X-16 clubs are very very easy to hit, but the feel of SSi is definitely better, maybe due to steel shaft (?). If you can find these Cobra SSi, get them... DO NOT hesitate to go with steel shafts.

While on business trip, I read a report on USnews paper issued on 6/15 or 6/16 reporting that there are lots of fake clubs from China, so be VERY VERY careful when you buy golf clubs on Ebay. The only way that I would buy golf clubs from is Ebay is that the price is cheap (i.e. no more than clone clubs) then I would take that chance. If you prefer brand names, then go to pro-shop or Dick's Sporting Goods, Usually this store has very good price when on sales
