Shoots in the 90s Model Reviewed: MacGregor CG 1800 Summary: I have owned my CG 1800's since 1990 and played with them on a variety of courses in several states. The full set of clubs are fairly well matched and have held up over time.
The only difficulty that I have is that current technology has apparently surpassed that of the CG 1800. If, however, you are still a fan of cast, perimeter weighted clubs with steel shafts, these are great! Because of the Jack Nicklaus demand for the feel of forged clubs, the CG 1800's have the capacity for the dlicate shot as well as the forgiveness of cast. My first time out this year ('06) was unspectacular with the exception of a crisp 7 iron that resulted in my first birdie of the year.
