Bazooka JMax Carbon 10* Draw R

Summary:
It appears that I'm going to be the lone voice (so far) to praise the Tour Edge JMax Carbon Driver. I purchased the 415cc Draw model with 10* loft and the stock Fuji shaft in regular flex. I got it for a pittance ($10, honest!) on ebay. I had read the reviews on the 460 version by Ham & Egg and at thesandtrap.com, both of which gave the club high marks. So after reading the other reviews here I was very curious as to what my experience would be.

I must also explain that this was not my first experience with a Tour Edge driver. I also have a 320J, which is an extremely unpredictable beast in my hands. When I hit that thing right, the ball flies further than any other driver I've tried, and quite straight as well. But I only seem to hit it 'right' a very small percentage of the time. Most of the time I wind up putting a LOT of topspin on the ball resulting in a disappointingly short drive.

Anyway, back to the Carbon. Based on two trials at the driving range, this club is going into my bag. I can't wait to get this driver out to a course. I can't seem to miss with this thing. Most of my drives are straight (which is a big deal because I habitually struggle with a slice) and a bit longer than my 'normal' distance of between 200 and 220 yards. But what amazes me most about the Carbon is what happens when I put a really ugly swing on the ball. Even when I hit the ball off the extreme toe or heel (which still happens more than I would like!) the ball still goes straight but obviously not nearly as far. Of all the drivers I've owned, this one is by FAR the most forgiving!

With my moderate swing speed I don't think I'll be cracking the face on this driver as reported by a previous reviewer. That may also have something to do with my not having the reported accuracy problems (maybe I got lucky and the stock shaft is a perfect fit for me).

Customer Service:
No experience.

Bazooka Jmax 10* Draw R

Summary:
I've played this club on the course and had it to the range two other times. I'm spraying the ball all over the place, and without ever getting any distance. I switch back to my KZG 395 Gemini II with an Aldila One shaft and, BANG, right down the middle! Switch to the Tour Edge, all over, back to the KZG, right down the middle and always longer....sometimes a lot!

I'm going to reshaft this junk club, and see if it's all in the shaft. The head however is completely dead sounding, and does not seem to do well on off-center ball strikes, so I'm not to excited about it's ability to rebound....I'll let you know. Lucky I only paid $50!
