Adams GT2 Complete Set

Summary:
The irons are great. Even though my handicap isn't great, these irons are straight shooters with an easy swing more than 90% of the time. The woods on the other hand were great until I literally broke the 3 and 5 wood at the same driving range session. Now, I have to replace them as the warranty is already void. This set would've been an excellent buy if the woods were steel shafted.

GT2 irons

Summary:
I am 13 years old and have a 4 handicap, with a the cleveland 400 launcher but when i got the adams GT2 driver i brought my handicap down to a 1.3. I am hitting the ball at least 280 when the cleveland was only going about 250, the very first time i used it i shot a 1 under 71. It is an amazing driver with great foregiveness and gives you a ton of distance

Adams GT2 430 9* Stock Stiff

Summary:
Let me begin by saying that I don't play the Adams as my Everyday Driver. That high esteem (at the current time) falls on my beloved Cobra 460SZ.

I'm 17 years old, and have a swing speed of about 118-124, the highest when I'm swinging out of my shoes, and loose. I can generate good ballspeed, and had been swinging an old Titleist 965D. It was getting too small for me, and felt too light in my hands. So, i opted for this Adams driver ($99 at Target). My first few swings felt really good, and i played really well with it.

Then i cracked it along the bottom.

But, as good club companies go, they responded quickly, and replaced my driver within a week, and at no cost.

Before the crack on the bottom of my driver however, I can honestly say, that i hit some of the longest drives of my life with this club. When hit right on the screws, I would CARRY about 280, and get a good 20-25 yards of roll on a dry course. I hit the ball a long way, and always have, but this driver seemed to amplify this distance, knocking at least 10 of those drives 350+. Now, i'm sure you don't believe what i'm saying, but If you were to see me swing you would understand.

Anyway, my only main problem with this driver was that it wasn't as forgiving as i had hoped. When hit straight, longer than anything i've ever hit. But misses for me usually come on the toe, and that led to some of the most disgusting slices and blocks I've ever seen. The shaft is also stiff as nails, compared to the aldila NV-60 S that i have on my Cobra. There was little to no bend in the shaft, which was good, but that also led to my misses.

All in all, a good club, though i was disturbed to find that it cracked so easily (probably just a bad club, but things like that tend to stay with you).

I rate it 3 stars, an average club, albeit one that provided huge distance. As far as value goes, I don't see very many quality drivers at 300 dollars less than the supposed "best" clubs available, and adams has constantly provided Bang for the Buck.

If you can find it, i recommend you pick it up, but demo it first if possible. I understand that they are under 50 bucks on Ebay, so why not? Give this driver a shot. Unless you get a cracked one (damn lemon) i recommend this for Low to mid handicappers, as this isn't the most forgiving club. And if you can get a regular shaft on it, do it, because the stiff is hard for even the fastest swingers to square.

One more thing, when i bought my driver It measured in full length @ 45 1/2", and when i got my replacement, it measured in @ 46. Not a huge distance, but something you should look out for. Performance for me hasn't changed, though it took some getting used to the length. I'm happy with my Cobra for now, unless it's a dry course and i need plenty of roll. Then it's out with the adams. (Cobra plays 10.5* stiff aldi NV-60)

Good buying!

Customer Service:
