Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Titleist 905S Summary: I have been a driver junkie for years and have tried them all. I was spending hours in fitting simulators and on all sorts or launch monitors etc but when I got outside the results were always quite different than indoors.
It makes no sense that this setup should work for me (or this is what I was told) until I had it for about 5 minutes on the driving range. 905 S 9.5 with Speeder X Stiff.
I have been playing this since the beginning of the summer and it is soley resposible for dropping my hcp by many strokes because I am in the fairway 75-80% of the rounds that I have played. Even on extremely tough driving courses that used to make me shake just thinking about the tee shot I just let it rip and it almost always finds the fairway and is very long. Has a great sound and feel to it as well. Even the mis hits try to stay on line and the misses are manageable. So don't believe what you read or hear you really need to take something outside and hit it, watch the ball flight and distance. I think the indoor stuff is way overated at least this has been my experience and I giot this for 150.00.
Nothing beats a Titleist. Customer Service: Not had to use Similar Products Used: Ping, Callaway, Cobra, Taylor Made (all of the hot models), Mizuno, Cleveland on and on.

Shoots in the 90s Model Reviewed: Titleist 905S 9.5 Speeder stiff Summary: I am 53 years old and have socks older than most of you guys! I card 85-95 most of the time. I cannot hit it 300 yards as my handicap would indicate. I hit 230-240. I have a problem than very few golfers have: I fight a hook or pull from short irons to the driver. I have an Azinger like grip: super strong with an inside approach. I try to hold on. When I do release, thus the hook. Most newer drivers I have tried are offset, along with a draw biased face or at the minimum of 1-3 degrees closed to help the 80%-85% who slice. I bought this Titleist 905S on ebay ($84.00) and I have YET found a way to hook it (with my grip). With an 18 hcp player, anything is possible, but right now I wouldn't take anything for it. With a superstrong grip, I can actually get a power fade! I NEVER new what a fade was until I hit this 905S. I can actually bananna slice it. I know that doesn't sound like progress, but when you can hook it like I can, it is a monumental step up. Just thought this might help those FEW of us who hook the ball. It really was designed for the better player. If so, why did it help my game? Don't believe all you read. Even this review. Try it if you fight a hook. You may be surprised. Happy slicing??? I mean it! Customer Service: N/A Similar Products Used: I've tried 'em all. I've had the best results with this driver.

Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Titleist 905S Summary: I have been using a 905S with NV65S for a while, and was never quite convinced. But head to head against any number of other drivers, the Titleist always won out. I recently swapped it for the Speeder shafted 905S, and I find it fantastic. I swing in the upper 90s, so the "softer" speeder is a good fit. Plus, its so much less ugly than the new heads out there. I believe head development has reached a point of diminishing return. I try to hit as many new products as I can, and none of them are better that the 905S. Most are lame by comparison. New shafts that will enhance a 907D2's performance will also enhance the 905S'.

Shoots in the 70s Model Reviewed: Titleist 905S, 9.5* Graf Blue S Summary: I'm a high 70's to low 80's golfer (on nice, tough courses), and have always played Titleist drivers. I find that only bore through drivers with hosels work for me. I traded in my 2 old drivers (983E 8.5 w/ProLite S and 905S 8.5 w/Aldila NV 65 S) plus a few dollars to get this club new. Great decision. I should have gotten this setup instead of the Aldila in the first place, but I thought it would be too stiff. The 8.5 Aldila had a flight that was as high as this 9.5, without as much strength to it but with more sidespin. This one flattens out nicely at apex, the 9.5 gets it up quicker and with almost no sidespin. Then it carries just as far (straight), and rolls farther (still straight). So if you're fighting a balloon ball and sidespin with lower lofts, this is your setup. You just need swing speed to make it crank. Don't worry about missing. This club is the most forgiving Titleist driver I've ever played (but I won't play 460cc, so no 907D2 for me.) That is its real advantage for players who like Titleist drivers. Customer Service: Great. They know how they made these clubs to play and will talk to you about which setup is good for you, swingweight, balance, shortening, tip trimming, whatever. They know what it means to "better players" trying to shave those last few strokes, and they don't want you thinking about their club on the tee box. Similar Products Used: I've tried everything within reason, but keep coming back to Titleist (976R and 975D, both steel and graphite, 975JVS, 983E w/ProLite, 905S w/Aldila NV.)
