Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Tour Edge Houdini Driver Summary: I bought a Houdini driver because I just wasn't getting the trajectory I wanted. My drives were too low and teeing the ball higher and putting it more forward in my stance caused too many pushed/pulled tee shots.
The Houdini is really a 3 wood with a 420cc head. I was immediately pleased to find that this club produces high, straight and relatively long drives for me. It is extremely forgiving, even when I come out of a shot or pull one, I am usually playing from the rough, not the trees or OB.
I play frequently with a friend who used a 3 wood, for control, but frequently hit a "sky ball," so I offered him my Houdini. He ordered one that very day and absolutely loves it!
In golf, you never get something for nothing, and with the Houdini driver, what you lose is roll. On soft or wet fairways, expect to find you drive very near where it hit.
I most strongly recommend this club to anyone who needs more loft and directional control and is willing to sacrifice some distance and roll off the tee. This club is, in my opinion, perfect for golfers with slower swing speeds and more senior players (I am 57 years young). It has increased my enjoyment of the game immensely and enabled me to shoot in the 80's on a regular basis. Ping and Callaway are making similar clubs now, but the Houdini is a bargain at $149 retail. Customer Service: Tour Edge is very responsive to any inquiry or problem. They will, through their retailers, custom fit any club and all their products come with a lifetime guarantee. Similar Products Used: Callaway C4, 454, Cleavland, Taylormade, Ping, etc.
