Description The New Srixon Z-URS shares the same technology platform as the revolutionary, tour proven Z-UR; the thinnest urethane-elastomer cover in the world – an astounding .020” thin, PBDS enhanced core, high...
Summary: I picked up a sleeve of these to compare with the Pro V 1. I see no noticable difference between these and the Pro V's. I can get the same distance and the same "bite" with the Srixon. Do yourself a favor and give a sleeve a try. You won't be disappointed!

Summary: I haven't kept a handicap in the past 5 years, but held an 8 for quite awhile prior. I've never been one to spend a lot of money for premium golf balls, as I've never wanted that to enter into my thinking while standing over a shot with hazards in the way. I've never bought a new Pro V1 that I can recall, but I've played plenty I've found along the journey. Recently, while preparing to vacation in Myrtle Beach, I bought 4 dozen Srixon Z-URS on the Web for an attractive price, relatively speaking. I've never been more confident in my golf ball. I love the distance/control combination. I'm 52, out of shape, but I'm outdriving almost anything I've done in previous seasons, really. Now, if I could learn to hit my short shots, as I all too often crush a drive, only to hit my 8, 9 or wedge fat. This ball flies, rolls and bites. I've been playing for 40 years plus and I've never repaired so many marks, right by or in front of my approach shots... when I hit them. I chose the Srixon because I love to pull for the underdog and the big "T" simply doesn't need any more patrons. I have noticed more and more contenders with the Srixon logo or ball in play on the Tour, but I play it in spite of it's nearly anonymous status. It's affordable, effective and I get more than a round per ball, which means durability to me. If I were making a living at this crazy game, I'd still be playing Srixon. I'm done playing the balls I find. Now I bring them home for the boys to play!

Summary: I found one of these while playing awhile back. Figured I'd give it a test run, and boy I was sold.
I've been a huge fan of the Callaway HX Tour 56 for a long time. Excellent ball, and one of my all time favorites. But this ZUR-S is sweet.
Pros~
Distance~ good distance overall, comparable to Pro V1, HX Tours, etc. It still takes a good swing and contact to get the most out of a drive or golf shot period.
Control~ The stopping power, and spin is right up there with the best of the best. The checking up this ball does is one of my favorite things about it. I know when I step up to a delicate chip shot, and need to throw it right at the pin, it's going where I want it to.
Durability~ The cover seems to hold up better than Pro V1 and HX Tours do. I can get alot of rounds and use from the ZUR-S's. Very durable, and the peeling will occur with a wedge or iron with alot of sharp grooves on occasion. But normaly, this thing holds up.
Con's~ None so far. There is nothing that I've found that doesn't impress me, or would make me change from using them. They are $40 a dozen, right around the range of the Callaways, Titleist, Nike, etc. But you get what you pay for.
*As a bonus, when I went to buy my dozen of these babies, they are giving away a huge Tour towel with them. Great deal for the $40
Customer Service: Haven't had to deal with them yet.

Summary: A good ball. Strengths- solid distance especially for us 80s and 90s shooters with slightly slower speeds and good bite on irons 6-PW. Easy to putt with, good soft feel.
Drawbacks- cannot quite stop like Pro Vs on short pitches, flops etc... I play a course with very fast greens and have to rely on my up and downs. Many of us 80 shooters are only hitting 6-10 GIR, so short game spin is pretty important. Perhaps the ZUR-C would be better in this department.
I played a bit better with the old ZU-R. It had a higher ball flight than this one. Personal preference.
I think this is a good ball, but for 40 bucks I think I'd have to say pay the extra $5.00 and play the Pro-Vs or pay $29 and get the NXTs or Callaway Hot Bite as more of an economy option.

Summary: Great golf ball! This ball flies ten yards farther with all clubs, and feels great around the greens chipping and putting. I would stack this ball up against any ball on the market. This ball is recomended for players with swing speeds of 80mph or higher. Would highly recomend this ball to any one that plays tour caliber balls right now.
