Summary: i bought these irons second hand from a local golf shop for £265 with project x 6.0 shafts. the set was in extremely good condition and i couldnt pass up the offer. sold my clunky slingshots to my dad and bought the 2 - p set after testing these, 695mb , mp 32's and the mp 33's.
i know people say nothing feels like a mizuno, but i thought these felt a little better! i hit the mp 33s well and i hit the 32's well. the long irons on the 32;s were a bit difficult though. i hit the callaways best, mp 33's second and the 32's 3rd best. the 695's just didnt work for me, i couldn't hit the ball well. i prefer my friens 690mb's. i decided to choose the callaway's because they were slightly more forgiving and they had the project x shafts in them. also, i couldn't find any mp 33's in good condition for sale.
i just played my first round today, and even though i wasn;t hitting it exactly where i want, i was striking it well and it felt awesome! the softest iron i've hit (apart from the ap2)
i shot a 43, which is fairly average, but i struggled a little with the long irons. in a few weeks i hope i will be hitting these as consistently as my previous irons adn this wil hopefully drop my handicap.
just got to practice those long irons! (and short game short game short game!) :P
Customer Service: haven't used yet, but in the shop (hensol golf academy) i was very pleased that they knocked £34 off of the £299 price after i asked if they would be sold any cheaper :D

Summary: Say goodbye to the easy hit for distance. My rescue club is my 5i(easy 190 yds, strong 220+) no matter what brand I play. I have lost almost a club length in distance with a normal strike. These clubs are definately for the player not the learner. I claim operator error on this one knowing my capabilities. I have deducted that these irons have to be hit with a little more pace to make up the distance. Scoring irons are deadly accurate distance wise (PW 110-120, 9i 125-135, 8i 150+-). These clubs are designed for lower handicap golfers. One plus to the distance issue is that I have not flown any greens, which is cool. Flying a green on a great shot on line is like missing a 3 foot put. If I am playing infront of the pin there is no punishment for overcooking the swing a bit. If I have to play behind the pin I am less intimidated to go after it. For me it is not a bad weather club as you cannot get a little more when you need it. In oregon the weather can dictate your game too often unfortunately. I am going to hang on to them for the tournaments where I need to count on distance, however should the whether turn I will purchase a cavity back. The shafts may me a little light (project x 6.0)

Model Reviewed: X-Forged 4-PW
Summary: I've had my current (Tommy Armour) irons since I was about 8 years old and right now I play on the high school varsity team, so I figured I might as well get some new clubs!
I've been doing some research for several weeks now and I've narrowed it down to either the Titleist 755's or these x-forged irons.
I prefer clubs that physically when you look down appear to be "skinny" like many blades are, however I can't quite hit a blade iron.
I have yet to demo either of these clubs but I'm guessing that the callaway will have much better feel and control compared to titleist just based off of hitting both brands in the past.
These are great looking clubs and I'm sure that they perform just as well!
Definetly consider them if you're in the market for new irons.

Model Reviewed: X Forged
Summary: I have recently played the MP 32s, the MP 60s and now, the X Forged. Frankly, I wanted to pick another iron, but this one kept winning across all the important tradeoffs. For me, those include (most importantly) the look of the club at address, the feel of the club throughout the swing and, of course, the feedback the club provides. While it's true that nothing approaches a well struck Mizuno, us non-professional players ought to be focused on the feel of a slightly off center hit, etc. That's where I became convinced that the X Forged was going to help me score better -- in the longer run, across more rounds, than my MPs. I ordered the 4 thru P, despite the fact that I hit the 3 iron 15 yards further than I ever hit the Mizuno. I'm going to pick up one of the new Cobra hybrids -check them out. I'll write again once I get a few more rounds in these (5.5. X -which took several returns to the factory to get right). But I'm feeling pretty good about my decision. Hell, I wanted to buy the new Titleists blades, but I'm a five handicap at a first class course who plays 2-3 times each week in season. Did I mention that I"m 80.
I'm a golf nut and get the chance to test and try everything. These clubs won.
Customer Service: The shafts went back for matching twice. I was told it was a problem and it was.
