Goldwin AVDP System Oversize

Summary:
While on business trip about more than 10 yrs ago, I stopped by a PGA shop at Pitts airport and it had this set on sales.. I asked about return policy and they said it's 100% refundable. I took it home and taped the 5-iron to prevent damage. After a big bucket of balls, I learned that I could hit this club but I lost 10 yds compared to my King Cobra clone... Nevertheless, I packed them up and shipped them back to the PGA shop in Pitts for full refund. If they work for you then enjoy them, not for me

Goldwin AVDP

Summary:
These clubs are a great secret for some. Just like a premium pre-certified car. What is engineered in will be there whenever you use them. They were definitely ahead of their time.

Grips for these clubs are not that hard to find. Just go to ebay.

I have a set and went back to them from Big Bertha 2004s. Bought a set of Big Bertha 2006s but they are still in the box because I like my Goldwins so much.

Customer Service:
Out of business. Grips and shafts can be purchased on Ebay, though, both rubber and wrap types. I use both.

Summary:
After using these clubs for a season I have to agree with most reviews on this site. What a shame these clubs arn't made any more!
I'd never heard of Goldwin until a friend offered me this set. Now I can't help but laugh every time I beat him. I'm sure he'd take them back in place of his new ping but there's now way I'm letting them go.

Summary:
I got these clubs as hand-me-downs from my uncle. after two seasons with them i dont think that they are that great. it might be that i have the graphite shafts or that my swing might not be good but i don't hit them far at all.

Goldwin AVDP Oversize

Summary:
I am a new golfer and was told by a friend that Goldwin made the best clubs you could buy used, and that it was one of the greatest secrets out there. Before buying, I read the reviews on this site and can say without a doubt that the clubs live up to all of the positive reviews. I have already beaten several others who have said they have golfed for 10-15 years. If a novice can do sub-50 turns in his first year of golfing, the equipment is definitely NOT a problem. I saw one review that totally confused me, but it must be an exception. I would compare these to a certified pre-owned luxury car...the engineering quality is built in, not based on the current fad.

Customer Service:
I have found that replacement factory slip on and wrap grips are available every day on Ebay (search for "Goldwin", and that shafts are also available on request. You might have to look in the secondary (view other Ebay Stores items) area, but they are there in nearly all configurations and colors. It is important to keep lightweight grips on the clubs to keep the design pure, according to some course pros. Although out of business, these clubs still have a strong following from those who know true quality and over-the -top engineering.
