CB1 Blue Summary:
Enic, the Pro-V1, Nike TA, Callaway CTU/Rule 35/HX, Maxlfi Revs and other premium balls actually use urethane for the cover, not ionomer. They use ionomer for the boundry layer, just underneath the urethane, for speed. BTW, Surlyn is actually a brand name for a type of ionomer plastic. Same plastic, they just vary the softness with different blends.
Anyhoo, still love the CB1's. Good spin on the blues, Looooooong on the reds. The new HX-2 peice reds are amazing. a friend of mine is hitting the HX-2 peice 250+ with his 3 wood.

CB1 Blue Summary:
This ball is very good indeed. You get good distance and the feel and spin into greens is good enough for my razor sharp short game (joke!). Add to that the fact that it lasts much better than an HX and for me plays just as good makes the CB1 blue a flippin bargain. Similar Products Used:

i think this ball needs a different cover. Not as soft as i thought it was gonna be. The greens at the golf course i reguarly play are a little firm so they do not spin as much as i would like here. Have enough distance tho. Similar Products Used:

Callaway CB1 Blue Summary:
Pssst... the secret is out! The Callaway CB1 Blue IS the best value on the market. As long as the Pro V, as soft as the Precept Lady, as durable as any two piece distance ball out there, and 1/2 the price of it's closest competitor, the CB1 is the best balanced ball and provides the best bang for your buck! The people over at Callaway advertise the CB1 for "players looking for more fun by spinning the ball and sticking greens" and I'd have to agree I've had more fun playing this ball, but I'd have to say the most satisfying quality of this ball is that I've paid alot less for them, and haven't had to sacrifice anyting in the way of performance or more importantly feel. I can't knock the legendary Pro V, it's a great ball, and the Lady has a slightly better price tag, but the CB1 is the best of both worlds, it's a true performer, long, soft, plenty of spin and great feel, with an even better price tag attached to it. A great ball for all golfers. It feels great off the driver, it's good with the irons, and it putts smooth. Great ball for the money.
