Ping Doc 12.5

Summary:
I know this putter is different and does not look at all like a normal putter, but what putter does now a days. Basically I love this putter. It is very forgiving you can miss it heel or toe and the balls still rolls the right distance. The putter also lines up to the target very nicely and its easy to bring back and forth on that line. One of the biggest reasons I can this putter its it mix of forgivness and feel. When I was at the golf store it was between the Doc, the 2-ball, or the crazy. I liked all of them but the 2-ball, and the crazy both have those inserts that make the ball feel soft, and to me a little dull, almost too soft. The great part about the Doc is not only it had a highest MOI of the 3, but it has the feel of the classic steel ping. Which felt alot like my steel answer which i had before the DOC. All in all, a great club. If your in the market its worth a tie, I strongly recommend it.

Ping Doc 12.5 lefty

Summary:
Another great putter from Ping. At the store, I was intrigued at first glance with the looks of the Doc. I gave it a try and immediately loved it. It's well balanced and lines up easy. The face gets the ball rolling fast and the long sight line helps to keep the putter head on target. Ping claims that the Doc series generate the highest MOI of all their putters. I believe it. I compared this putter along with the Futura, Two-Ball, I-Trax, and several other mallet-style putters, but for me, the Doc felt the best. A little funky looking, but what putter isn't nowadays? One thing worth mentioning is that you have to order this putter with the correct shaft length and lie angle. After reading some on-line literature about the Doc, I learned that this putter must sit perfectly flat in order to perform well. My Doc is 33" long and 2 degrees flat. I'm very happy with this putter and will use it for a long time to come. I previously played an old Ping Zing putter, but with all the great, high-tech putters out there today, I knew it was time to make a change. If your in the market, the Doc is worth a try. By the way, the head cover is pretty slick, too.

Customer Service:
I've used their customer service once in the past to repair a club and was very statisfied.

Ping Doc 12.5

Summary:
In a word, fantastic! This putter is simply amazing. Where should I start? First off, It has the classic soft yet crisp feel of all the ping models, going back to the original Anser.

The line on the top makes aligning putts child's play, as unlike other models it goes all the way from the back to the face. Simply line up your ball and then shoot along the line.

I think this is perhaps the best feature of this putter. I don't know about you, but there is nothing more frustrating than picking the right line, only to realise after contact that you weren't actualy lined up properly! I can't believe I am the only one who suffers from this.

Now let's talk about the forgiveness. Off center hits go dead straight with no distance loss. This is simply fantastic! The putter really helps me get the ball started on the line I want at the pace I want.

Overall then a real addition to my game and I am sure it will help me drop at least 2 strokes off my handicap. It really is that good. The heavy head eliminates wrist action and really will not let you open or close the blade. Simply go back and through, and then watch your ball drop into the hole.

I really think anyone from beginner right up to scratch golfer will benfit from starting their putts online with this. OK, so if you are a pro and get to practice 8 hours a day, you can probably get by with a scotty cameron, but for the rest of us, we would be crazy not to give this a try.

Congratulations Ping on yet another excellent putter.
