Callaway HX Hot Plus

Summary:
Being a mid handicap player, I don't want to spend a fortune on balls, cos lets face it one or two are not coming home from a round! Been using the Srixon soft feel, but bought 24 of these to give them a go. First round today and did notice more driving distance, even if slightly off centre, but didn't have as much confidence around the greens, as i felt they came off the wedges a little quickly, thus yipping a few. will persist as I have 23 left! Not sold yet, as the Srixons are great. More practice chipping with them and they might just work! Oh they cut up quickly (make that 22 left)

Callaway HX Hot Plus

Summary:
At my level of game, was happy to be sub 100 on par 70, I'm super happy with the HX Hot +. Tried the V1's and other balls. Though since changing to this ball, since the last 7 rounds, I've equaled my best, and achieved a new low of 90, otherwise I've hit 95-100-95-97-100-92.
Reccommend this ball to any 100-105 golfer who wants to get into the 90's.

Callaway HX Hot

Summary:
I marshall my local course once or twice a week. I get to keep all the lost balls that I find. I've banged about every ball on the market.

After finally getting serious about sticking to one type of ball for shot consistency, I save all the Titleist Pro V1X I find. I like the feel of the ball both off the driver & the putter. Seems to be a best feel vs. performance compromise for me.

Well I found a couple of Callaway HX Hot balls and decided to use them over some water hazard shots to avoid losing my precious Pro V1X's. Well I was surprised by the HX Hot distance & feel off my 3 iron - Soft contact but long boring trajectory.

So I purchased a 12 pack (Heresy for a golf Marchall!) of HX Hot for $27. Now after 5 games played with them, I'm less impressed with the ball.

Don't get me wrong I like the HX Hot better than the cheap plastic rocks I used to play (like Top Flight, Wilson Ultra, Slazenger, Molitors, etc...) But when the Callaways are all gone, I'm not purchasing more.

It's back to the 2nd hand Pro V1X for me. I score better with the Titleist balls.

Customer Service:
On a golf ball? What's next, serial numbers on balls?

I've swung at every ball ever made. I don't play the hard plastic ones anymore since I can drive a nice draw 260 yards on a regular day with a softer ball.
