Summary: Forget the price tag, this is the best ball on the market today. They don't have Tiger, a Shark, or a pretty boy pushing the product. They just have a great ball with a long time track record. The price may not be at the top of the list... but the ball is.

Summary: This is an Awesome golf ball for the money. The average golfer does not need the PRO V1 to see improvement from a golf ball. This ball is the SAME as the Taylor MAde BURNER which is twice+ the money. I played it last season and found it better the any of the Callaway balls and Just as long as the PRO V1.

Summary: As a low-20s handicapper, I try not to spend more than $10 a dozen for golf balls... my swing isn't good enough to take advantage of the Pro-V1s of the world, and I hate spending more than a dollar a ball since I manage to lose two or three every round.
At their current price of $9.99 a dozen at many golf stores and online sites, the Maxfli Red Max is a real bargain: longer than average off the tee, durable [even after hitting a tree or two] and decent feel around the greens and off the putter.
Plus - I just like playing a ball with the venerable Maxfli name and signature red dot logo.
My local Golf Galaxy is just about out of stock, no doubt due to guys like me picking up 6-8 dozen at a time. Get 'em while you can.

Summary: I've used the maxfli ball since the mid-1980's. This is the best to-date! The main reason I've used Maxfli is it's ability to hold it's direction in the wind. I play in Hawaii and here we have almost a constant 10-25 mph breeze.
This ball is long off the Tee and holds it's line in the wind. It can be worked without too much effort. I'm able to spin this ball on approch shots and get minimum "roll-out". The feel is great with all my clubs from driver through putter. Only one problem, it's getting hard to find here.
I beleive that Taylormade have renamed this ball as the "Taylormade RED"and added $20 to the price.

Summary: Great ball for the average player. I bought a box at Dick's Sporting Goods for $19.99/doz. after reading the review in Golf Digest Hotlist '06. They were very straight off the driver, and held semi-firm greens very well on approach shots from 150 yds and in. Not as soft as upper end balls, but hey they're $20 a box!! With my slower swing speed these balls work great, factor in the cost and they're a terrific value.
If you're looking for a value ball, give these a try. This is my first experence with Maxfli balls, but I feel they're a keeper.
