Shoots in the 70s Model Reviewed: Pinnacle Exception Summary: I recently bought a 24 pack of PE because I was told they are "poor man's Pro-V". I was a premium ball man until now.
Wow these ball feel similar to the pro v1 with more spin than a pro v1x. I am hitting my irons 12 to 20 yrds further but I'm not sure if it is the ball or recent swing changes.
In the past 2 wks I have shot 3 of my best rounds with this ball, 69, 68, 66. The only problem, if there is one, is I went from hitting a 60 degree wedge 85yds to 105 and I'm struggling in that 80yd range.
The ball is great, performs around the greens, spins with the irons and flies true. I don't know how an amatuer can justify playing or paying for anything else. Customer Service: none Similar Products Used: Every premium ball on the market

Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Pinnacle Exception Summary: Many reviewers are making comparisons between the Pro V1/v1x and the Pinnacle Exception. And again, there is no Pro V1-killer and the Exception doesn't really compare. If you have the tons of cash and shoot in the 60s/70s, it's the ball of choice period. Most of are neither rich nor real good, so the Pinnacle Exception fits the bill fine.
For 4-5 dollars a dozen, the Pinnacle Exception is an amazing ball. Very long (hit my first 300+ yard drive with this ball) and straight. The Feel putting is pretty good as well. The spin-ability of the ball is rather average, as I can't seem to get a great backspin on the ball. Nevertheless, it bites and is comparable to the NXT spin-wise. Certainly much better than the Top Flite D2 or other distance ball spin-wise.
Worth the price, the exception (bought 4 dozen) be my summer ball. High-ball flight might not be great for other seasons, we will see. Similar Products Used: NXT, NXT Tour, Nike Juice, ProV1, Group of Nike balls, HX Hot, HX Tour, Top Flite D2

Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Pinnacle Exception Summary: I started playing this ball when it was first introduced. I beleive, without a doubt, this is this best ball for the money. I have played many different brands of ball in the last thirty four years, and this has been the best performer overall. Long off the driver, and stops fairly well on the greens. It does not stop or draw back like a ProV1, but is more durable. I find that playing the Exception on par four, and fives, and the ProV1 on par threes works great. That way the ProV1's last much longer. Customer Service: Never used, but they are a Titleist product.
Similar Products Used: Titleist NXT, and NXT Tour, Callaway Big Bertha, Slazinger, Nike.
