Snake Eyes Snake Eyes Tour Perfomance II Balls Review

Snake Eyes Snake Eyes Tour Perfomance II

Description
Excellent three piece golf ball. Better than NXT. Ball explodes off the Driver face, very very long ball. Excellent feel off forged irons and forged putter. I would recommend these to anybody that plays intermediate to mid level golf. Granted that this is no Pro V1 but neither are a lot of golf ball.

Snake Eyes Tour Performance II

Summary:
I read the reviews here and bought 2 dozen for a 5 day/ 6 round trip. I can say that I liked the feel of the ball and the distance on most shots was excellent, but I got a few surprises. By that I mean shots that seemed like they should have been longer and straighter but turned out either draw or fade and shorter than expected.
Putting was another story. I have never in my life had so many putts that fell off line in the last 12 inches. I played on 7 different courses last week and the problem was not due to the courses (crowns around the holes, bad greens, etc.)The only way I could get a put to hold true at the finish was to ram it into the back of the cup.
When I got home I got out the "Check-GO" ball balancer and found that the balls I hadn't used (brand new) were really wobbly and difficult to balance. After I identified the spin axis on the balls, I intentionally spun them with the heavy side on top. I've never seen balls bounce around in the "Check-GO"
I asked the guy at Golfsmith why these things are so cheap and he gave me some BS about how it's the house brand and they are made by same company that makes Srixon. Truth is that there is a reason that they are being sold for $9.99 for 2 dozen. Golfsmith knows what they are worth.

Summary:
Ball was on sale and I've been a fan of Snake Eyes clothes and gloves so I thought I would give it a try. Incredible feel, very long, and ball really POPPED off the face of the club. Still soft feel, while long. I highly recommend this ball.
