Summary:
First tried these a couple of months ago, without doing prior research (i.e., reading product reviews, which I subsequently found to be difficult to find). The only aspect of the ball I was interested in, prior to buying, was the dimple size on the ball: I prefer small dimple patterns, which for me means a more penetrating ball flight, which is important because I usually play an ocean course that has a stiff west wind coming in off the water during the afternoon.

I was very pleased with these balls during the first round of their use, and I have stayed with them since. I wanted to buy several 12 packs, but have been unable to find an ebay or internet vendor. Have only found at local Target stores. Hopefully these will see a broader distribution in the U.S.

Anyway, the ball is long and straight: trajectory tends to be low with penetrating ball flight. It's hard, but not what I would call a "rock ball". Has good feel off of irons, and putts well.

Cover is average to slightly better than average durability.

Low handicap golfers may feel it underperforms relative to high-end balls like Titleist Pro VI. These cost about half the price of the Pro VI's, and should be more than satisfactory for mid- and high-handicap golfers.

Srixon Distance ball

Summary:
About the only ball I've ever used that actually lives up to what they put on the box. It does add about 15-20 yards to my drive, it does seem to fly consistently straighter than other balls that promise similar but fail, it is very durable. For a distance ball it pulls up just fine on the green.Got em for $18 AUS a dozen, so great value too. I'd highly recommend these. They have taken over from The Maxfli Noodle as my affordable favourite.
