Titleist DT Carry

Summary:
I have used this ball every game for a year. I am fairly good with my irons, and was mainly looking for a ball which would hold on the green, putt with a soft feel, and with good durability.

The DT Carry gets good height and in so doing, I lost a bit of length on my drives. I was still able to get drives of 260 to 270 yards consistently, but with a harder ball will add 20 yards to that (my swing speed is 100-105). But the control and arcing flight I got with the irons was well worth the sacrifice in driver distance. I've never won a game with a driver, anyway.

With its high, arcing flight off the irons and subsequent steeper angle of impact, it's a good ball to cure approach shot woes.
The ball would check up on the green after a hop or two, and if the green was soft, it would check up and stop in the ball mark. I have never wanted a ball to back spin on an approach shot, and this ball didn't attempt to do so. I had no problem with the ball hitting the green and running off when I had a good club head contact on approach shots. It held the green very well, overall. I felt confident on my approach shots because of the stopping power of this ball. Yet the ball is not soft enough to cause undue trouble with badly hit shots. Besides, I can't blame any ball for an occasional bad swing.

Putting feel is excellent! I had my best putting year, ever, with the DT Carry. It has a soft feel to it and a good, lively response off my older brass Ping putter. Perhaps the best attribute of this ball is its feel with the putter.

Durability is good. I never cut one with an iron, including 60 yard lob wedge shots. A cart path will scuff one.

Recently, I have had trouble finding the DT Carry balls and hope Titleist continues to make them. I truly like the ball and intend to keep using it. It knocked 10 strokes off my game last year, mainly through an improvement in my approach shots and putting.
The only downside is that loss of distance off the tee, but the way it performs throughout the fairway and green more than makes up for it.

Titelist DT Carry

Summary:
Pretty good distance. Lands and rolls some on approach shots but not bad. Tends to baloon some on windy days. Got a dozen as a gift and am not afraid to use them.

DT Carry

Summary:
This ball is my favorite putting ball. The large dimples on it seem to allow the ball to roll a lot smoother than other balls.
