Summary:
This season I have been playing the Bridgestone 330RX and Callaway ix balls, both of which are excellent. Before this season, I played the Pro V1.Influenced by reviews on this site and the Golf Digest Hot List, I bought a sleeve of Gamers virtually on a whim. What a pleasant surprise! The ball is at least as long as other tour level balls I have played and is easy to control on the green. Conditions have been wet in the Northeast this summer so it is tough for me to compare spin and holding the green to how the other balls do in firm conditions, but this seems to be an excellent golf ball at less than $20/dozen. It is a good ball for better players, not a rock. I am giving it 4 rather than 5 stars only because I have not yet been able to use it on firm greens (and if the rain keeps up we may not see firm greens this whole season)!

Customer Service:
Haven't used with regard to this ball, but Callaway, which owns Top-Flite arguably has the best customer service in the business.

Summary:
GOOD PERFORMANCE.
GOOD PRICE-EXCEPTIONAL VALUE FOR THE MONEY.
LOTS OF CONTROL AROUND THE GREENS. Doesn't stop on a DIME, but it does STOP fairly quickly on the green.
LAST YEAR, I USE TO PLAY IN THE 100'S, and my LAST ROUND WAS 87 AND I HAD 5 PARS.
Scuffs up after 11-12 holes.

My swing speed is 78 MPH AND I NORMALLY USE A 2-PIECE BALL.

Topflite Gamer

Summary:
Performance-wise an exceptional ball for the money. Long, penetrating ball flight off the driver. Lots of spin and control around the greens. As a 4.3 index player, I'm more interested in ball control than distance as I normally play the Nike Tour and occasionally the ProV1.

Durability-wise, the Gamer is not so good. With my high swing speed, the Gamer looks like a fuzz ball after about 6 holes. My wedges and irons easily shred the cover.

Bottom line - an exceptional value for the average player looking for a combination of distance and control.

Summary:
I have been playing the Pro V1x and Taylor Made TP golf balls for the last few years, and I have to say the Gamer blows them both away! I am a 4 handicap and was skeptical of the Gamer at first, but since they are only about $20 a dozen, I bought a box, and WOW! This ball is long off the tee, stops on a dime, and has great feel around the green! There is no better ball out there, and it's CHEAP!

Summary:
I have been looking for a good but cheap ball to use consistently to improve my game. I saw this ball on Golf Digest's Hot list and decided to try it out. The first time I tried it, I shot a 38 on 9, which is about the best I have ever shot. I also managed to chip one in from under a tree with my 5 iron from 20 yards out. The feel is great for chipping and the distance on my putting ahs never been better. Now I just need to aim at the hole. For me this ball stops on a dime on the greens, but still gives me good distance off the tee. I have found it scuffs up a bit easier than others, but I am sticking with the gamers until I get a raise and my game improves to warrant a change.
