Wilson Eco Core golf ball

Summary:
Wilson and a few other companies are starting to recycle materials into their products in this "politically correct" age. The Wilson Eco Core golf ball has a core molded from unvulcanized automobile tires rather than the polybutadiene used in 99% of all other golf balls. It has a standard ionomer cover that is tough. It is a lower-spinning distance ball. The packaging does away with sleeves, and uses a recycled "pizza" cardboard box approach. The net effect is a ball that uses 40% less materials and energy to produce.

It sells cheaply (about a dollar per ball) and performs probably as well as 95% of the two-piece distance offerings out there. I think the Wilson True and Wilson Profile are slightly longer, but for the price the Eco Core is a good "rockflite" golf ball.

Customer Service:
Wilson makes high quality goods and seems to back them with dependable service. Really good at answering one's questions from their website.
