Model Reviewed: Adams Tight Lies GT 303 Steel Driver
Summary: I bought it from Craigslist for $25, then played my first round in about 4 years due to back issues. I was very pleased with it. I played another 9 the next week and I was absolutely crushing the ball nice and straight, even at the 6th hole when the bottom of the club head developed a 4 inch crack! I hit it again on 7 and the crack started to come up the face of the club! At least it helped me shoot a 39 in the rain.

Summary: Bought the driver, despite the critisisms leveled atthis club that they are fragile.
It burst like a cheap Japanese cracker novelty half way through the first round.
Shame.
I wont buy Adams again and have gone for a Nicklaus driver in titanium.

Summary: I have now had this club in my bag for a little over two full seasons and wrote one of the first reviews on this club. It has been a very good quality and serviceable driver that has helped me move from the 90's to the 80's. After two years and literally hundreds of drives, I am still very satisfied. If you get this club on eBay or used, I think you will find a good club for the money. If you are looking for a club that will help take you from duffer to intermediate level, I can vouch for its success in that role. Are there some better clubs out there? Sure, but when you become good enough for the elite level clubs, you will know. This club can help you get there.

Summary: I have used the Adams GT-303 for two seasons now, and feel that it is a solid performer. I have the 9.5 Deg model with the GT Stiff-Flex graphite shaft and stock grip.
Pro's: The clubhead is large (303cc) without being ridiculous, and has excellent forgiveness on slight mis-hits. The stiff-flex shaft is also quite responsive and provides decent feedback. I purchased mine before the offset option was available, but the club comes set up about 2-3 degrees closed, so setting up to play a soft fade feels comfortable and easy.
Con's: Some have mentioned quality problems with the GT line. Mine has performed without a hitch for the last two seasons, although I have witnessed a golfing partner (playing the same model), break the connection between shaft and clubhead.
Overall: Performance to dollar, I feel the GT drivers are a good investment. They promote good distance, preferrable ball flight, and (in my case) good durability.

Summary: I wanted a driver with a mid sized head and more loft and found this going cheap on eBay. I was very inconsistent with my hippo giant I could hit booming drives duck hooks or banana slices. The 303 with its shorter shaft closed face and midsize head is much more consistent. Large alignment markings make it easy to aim and the shorter shaft is easier to use. I haven’t court a flyer like I occasionally did with the Hippo but overall it’s much more consistent. The ball flights on the high side and distance is average. Overall a good driver with plenty of help for the high handicapper and available at a great price
