I have read all the posts...I have a sad tale as well. I bought the first Adams a3 (9.5) about 7-8 months ago. It was the bomb! Very forgiving, very accurate, and very far...for the first half hour at the range. Then the head snapped at the hozel. I was stationed in Boston, MA, and it was cold. Figured the cold made the shaft brittle. Dick's replaced it that day no questions asked.
Customer Service They initially tried to say it was my fault. Similar Products Used: TaylorMade, Calloway drivers |

Even with all the new equipment out there I have been losing distance. Having just turned 58 I find it hard to play from the back tees with young guys and even though I chip and put better than in my youth I rather hit an I iron into a green than hybrid or 5 wood. So I bought the 10.5 regular shaft driver off of EBAY for $90. Great driver that is easy to hit straight, with increased distance. I had been playing the Cleveland XLS the Adams is about 10 to 20 yards longer measured by my Skycaddie. I went from 220 to about 240 on my drives. The shaft is about 1/2 an inch longer than the Cleveland, so I choke down a little. I hit it a lot straighter and a little longer at 58 years old I can use the extra distance. My first XTD broke during a round only after hitting about 40-50+ balls down in the hozel. The second almost broke in the same place. I think it is the last batch of the model and Adams is throwing them together just to get rid of them. I played very well with them but not very durable for a power hitter. My last one is on the way to Adams Golf to see if they are going to replace it, fix it , or what ever. I bought a TaylorMade Burner as a replacement driver. I would not recommend this driver until it got below $50 for a new one. Similar Products Used: BETA TI BILLY CLUB(NEVER BROKE BUT HAS LOTS OF CRACKS AND DENTS) |

Club is great! Was on a Cleveland Hi Bore XL previously but wasn't as accurate. The XTD is really easy to to make good contact. Just good tempo and the same setup and it goes straight and far. Not as long as the Hi Bore but much more consistent.
Customer Service Got it at golfsmith. Bought mine discounted becuase the plastic wrap was off. As always bec areful about that. It was hit on their mats for sure because the second day of use the ferrel cracked and the clubhead came loose. Not a big deal, warrantied. Hope it does not happen again though! I'm fairly new to the sport of golf and borrowed this a short while ago for a trial. I was dubious at first because Adams isn't a well known name in Europe. The sudden confidence it gave me on the fairway though was immense. LONG and straight 80% of the time instead of the topping and slicing I was used to with my Wilson .. very forgiving. Picks it off the grass like it's got fingers.
