big bertha II proseries 8.5

Summary:
this driver has a stiff pennely shaft in it.after hitting it for awhile i was able to hit it straight however the distance is poor.recently bought a 400cc nike driver and with about a 80percent swing can out drive the big bertha.the big bertha even at 8.5 loft gains to much air and has no roll after landing.just bought a nike ignite driver and can't wait to go hit it.i gave the big bertha 2 to my dad who shoots high 60's and low 70's and even he is disapointed with it.i recommend looking into switching to nike .i use to be very loyal to callaway ,but not any more

Callaway GBB II 8.5 rch tour stiif and 9.5 ys-7 stiff

Summary:
I got a 8.5 from a guy that is a mini-tour and golf pro at Westridge CC. He said he used to have it as the "old reliable" and laughed but was impressed at how i could put a taylor made pittsburg persimmon like 250-260. He said if i could put his driver over the fence at the Westridge he would give it to me. I remember swinging (first ever attempt at GBB) and it felt like an explosion. So...I got it and used it for about the last year and a half. If I dont swing really hard, like 110or more...look for a slight fade that cuts distance. Had trouble with the 45", always missing right. I chopped it down to about 44.25 and lost distance, but did gain a little accuracy, however, I now seem to have to swing HARDER. SO I decided to get a 9.5 with a ys-7 (really like graphite designs...cheaper but low torque and really nice--got club on ebay for about $32+ship) The 9.5 gets the ball up a lot more, and the 45" feels long but I am able to swing a little easier and somehow this one gives me a slight draw...So guess what boys and girls...I got one for the wind and the dog leg lefts and wide openers, and when the wind kicks up or theres water to the left, i swing the 8.5er. Wow golf never seemed to make sense til now...probably buy 3 more of these looking for better combos, and my dad, also a good golfer (like a 12) maybe a 10, used to hit a hawkeye and now he converted to the GBB...buy this club.

Great Big Bertha II Pro Series 9.5

Summary:
bought this thing on callaway pre owned like new for $104.99...with a 9.5 head and regular callaway shaft, at first i thought a used driver would be not so good of an idea...walk to the driving range and swing...all my fears went away but i wish i could change my shaft to aldila but have no money...i was hittin 200-210 now hittin 240-260...i had a nasty fade i guess u could call it a slice lol...but everythings cool, i control my fade but hate the shaft, get a graffoly shaft or aldila if buying...

Great Big Bertha II Pro Series

Summary:
Bought this club of ebay for $60 with 9.5*loft and a stock firm shaft.

I was hitting 210-240 with my pervious BB knock off it had a good stiff shaft in it head was nothing special. When this club showed up I went stight to the range and it was long 250-290 but I was fighting a slightly worse fade than normal. I found out that the face is set 1* open from factory explaining the fade so I traded for a BB 2004 Titanium at my local golf store they gave me $20 back for the trade too!!! same distance just now stright(er).

My natural shot is dead stright or a slight fade which I've played for the last 3 years. I was hitting a BB knock off.

I would recomend this club to any one who can swing from the inside consitantly or who has a slight draw they want to strighten otherwise go for the BB 2004 Titanium

Big bertha 2 Pro series 8.5

Summary:
An average or slightly longer than average driver. Works ball nicely left or right unlike most oversized drivers that seem to have a built in draw bias. Fairly penetrating ball flight which I like but can also be hit higher by teeing the ball up more. Good but not great forgiveness. Nice sound on well struck shots. Feel is somewhat muted. I replaced the stock callaway pro Stiff 70 series shaft with a regular flex grafalloy Blue shaft. The blue combo plays at about the same stiffness but is far more consistent and accurate. The shaft was spined also so I think that helped also too. I highly recommend this upgrade. All in all this is a very "honest" driver and is great if you want to work the ball. Ther are probably longeror straighter drivers but few that have the combination of distance and workability that this club has

Customer Service:
The store where I bought(Red Deer Discount Golf) gave very good service and gave me an excellent trade in credit for my old driver.

ping Tisi Tec 8.5, nice driver but hits the ball too high and gives very little roll
