Hippo Hex 2 Drivers Review

Hippo Hex 2

Description
The HEX2 featured a unique hexagonal shape that allows optimum weight distribution to reduce the effect of side spin and provide more energy transfer from club face to ball resulting in the straightest and longest driver ever designed. The aerodynamically shaped 460cc club head is designed to reduce drag on the backswing and generate higher head speed at impact.

Hippo Hex2 Driver

Summary:
I usually shoot in the high 80's/low 90's. I am about 6'5 and have a very high swing speed, which causes me to slice a lot. Those days are well gone now that I got the Hex2. My score dropped by about 8 strokes with the help of this beauty, it is by far the most forgiving driver I have ever used. Some have said that the head cracks, but I don't care if it cracks every 6 months, I will go buy a new one every time!!

Hippo Hex 2 460 Driver

Summary:
I purchased this club new from Rockbottom Golf at the Cleveland golf show in February...got a great deal on it..$50. I hit the range 2 times, played 4-5 rounds. Then on Sunday went to the range before my buddies got to the course and the head split! I love the club and it feels and looks awesome. There is no way on earth this club should have broke. I can only rate this club a 1 in terms of value and overall quality. Very poor craftsmanship.... Boy have I hit Rockbottom! I need to contact Rockbottom and Hippo. Any other thoughts

Summary:
Good club. helped me hit much better, but mine also cracked around the one year mark. i dont play terribly much, so i would guess it happened around 20-25 rounds. however, i only spent $50, so it really was a decent deal.

hippo hex 2

Summary:
I've playing the Hippo Hex 2 driver for a little over a year now. Think it is a great driver and have recommended it to others. It does pretty much what the reviews say it does. Unfortunately, the head split today. With only a little over a year's worth of use you wouldn't think that should happen. Is there a flaw or is this a known problem?
