Summary: Just coming back from the range and a few holes course, trying to find a new driver to replace my old big fat M38 Eye-o-matic. What a foolish man : just hit a dozen drives with the new TMsuperfast and all I would say is what a slicing little painted stick ! I'm afraid I have to keep for several more years my good old MacGregor, so accurate, so long, and that incredible asoundishing bang when it hits the ball. I'm in love with that wizard driver, and I got the 3 and 5 woods too, in stiff and reg. They're just as good as the big guy and will be my best friends till I reach the scratch level.
Customer Service: No need, tough material.
Similar Products Used: None is similar to McGregor - when it's good, it's the best.

Summary: Had all the Brands--but nothing like the Macgregor Eye-O-Matic. Wat furhter and straighter than all the rest. Great club. Foursome think that I drive better but it is the club

Summary: this club gave me only a little more distance than my steel headed old one my husband who drives over 290 could only get 250 out of it
at least it was cheap

Summary: I just got back from the golf store and the co-owned driving range. The store will let you take a few clubs over to the range to try out (pretty nice). I am looking for a good used driver, as I do not need to spend a lot of money. I tend to hit the ball high, so I thought I'd try out some low-loft options. I took my old/current King Cobra 10.5*, a TaylorMade R510 8.5*, a Titleist 975J 7.5*, a Callaway X460 9*, and a MacGregor M38 8.5*. I have been researching clubs a bit lately, and I almost didn't pick up the MacGregor in the store because it's name didn't impress me (yes, I'm shallow). I hit my Cobra first, then the TaylorMade, the Titleist, the MacGregor, and then the Callaway. Hands-down the Macgregor was longer and straighter for me than any of the other clubs were. I only hit a few shots with each club (about 5), and I did not hit a single slice with the Macgregor. I know it's not a large or scientific test, but if first impressions mean anything, I'll likely be buying the used MacGregor in two weeks on my birthday. I may pick one up on ebay before then. The golf store has one $79 and will likely come down a little, but these clubs are really inexpensive on ebay!
