Summary: I am a very hard swinger probably because of the baseball years. and believe it or not but i use a regular flex shaft for this MONSTER!, I have gone to so many courses and used demos as well as gone to golf stores and used new drivers. the problem was that i thought the best name was the best club. (not knocking any brands there all good) i finally gave up and just used my 3 wood for a couple years. i can still hit my 3 wood 250-270 anyway. but its nice to stand on the tee block and hit a bomb that makes everyone go HOLY F*** nice drive. so i went into golftown and just wanted to pick up what ever was on sale and the ORLIMAR 420 hip ti. was on sale for $175 in 2006. i didnt care i just wanted a driver. the guy talked me into a high loft to try and help my slice. (he was right). they didnt have any stiff shafts so i just settled for the reg. flex. still to this day even with the new technology clubs i havn't hit a club that feels, sounds, and drives the ball as far as this club. I recomend this club to everyone but for the heavy swingers this is YOUR CLUB! I hit this club straight and in between 290-330 yards. i hit it this year 365 yards. farthest ever. my buddy and i steak it out three times because we couldn't believe it. BUY THIS CLUB!!!!!

Summary: Simply stated:This is the longest of all the drivers i've used(and i've used a lot & currently own over 20 drivers!)
It delivers a high-ish trajectory, massively long ball. Its a non-conforming club to the USGA & thats maybe why its so much longer than the rest of the field.. though having said that i 've hit another non-conforming driver(Callaway ERC II) & found it nowhere near the length nor the straightness of this club.I'm using the stock 55 gm orlimar shaft & its lighter weight could be another reason towards it being so long? However, this club is not only the Best Orlimar driver ever made but,in my opinion, the longest driver in the market.Whether or not you buy this i sincerely recommend you at least hit a few shots with it sometime during your golfing career.. you'll be very pleasantly surprised! It sits behind the ball as Tall & big as any of the 460cc drivers out there(except perhaps the Sasquatch)& its weight throughout your swing conveys an addictive sense of balance & power.

Summary: This is a great driver for a very little price. I see that is has 1* closed face as said above, does anyone know if this is exactly true? Anyways, after having this driver for a while, I was out at my home course playing a few extra holes before dark, when the head flew off. It caught me off guard but I grabbed the head, and later I took it back into Golf Town and it was replaced. I still have this driver but will be replacing it with the Titleist 905R 9.5* next summer. I reccomend this to the average golfer who is looking for a good, cheap driver.

Summary: Wow tried her out for the first time ever, meaning Orlimar and what can I say here I am writing a review.
This driver has to be amongst my all time favorites which are the King Cobra's 427, 440 and FX 460. Also the Cleveland Sport OS 410 is another hidden gem. Anyway I had to clear the air and pay respects, however with fine tuning this Orlimar may be the best. I understand the 420 is an older model because they do have a 440 and 460 version but I am one to dislike the larger heads myself hence the 410, 427 and 420 come into play.
Been in and out of drivers lately because I fell in a slump, hell I went back to using my trusty Titleist PT 13* 3 wood which can bomb as well but today I got my hands on this Orlimar 420 Hip Ti version along with a Graffoly Pro Lite stiff shaft and this baby can bomb to say the least. In fact my home course today matched and surpassed a few personal records of mine, I don't know why because like I said I have been in a driver slump for the past few weeks.
In fact I fell in love with it soon after the round was finished I literally bought and installed a brand new grip on her so wish me luck out there.
I think the guys behind our group were scratching their heads on a couple of holes that I truly bombed the Orlimar on and now I got me scratching mine too.

Summary: I have always tended to pull or fade my driver a little bit. I cannot say that I am any different with this club. However, it hits the ball quite a ways. Yesterday I tested it against a Cleveland Launcher 460. Both of them were the longest clubs that I have ever used. The Launcher carried further, but if you try to over swing with it, you would not like the results. I can swing as hard as I like with this club and still like the results. I noticed that the face bulge on this club is tremendous. I do not think it is as forgiving a club as people make it out to be. There is a noticeable sweet spot with this club as opposed to another club like the Launcher. I think this club should be used by people with a handicap of 15 or less who have a little trouble with a slight fade or draw which they would like to straighten out. I hit some of the longest drives I have ever hit with it yesterday. I was extremely impressed. However, if I could figure out how to get 10-15 yards more roll with the Launcher, I would go with a club like that instead. This club provides great trajectory and distance but can be a little difficult to control at some times. I think as I learn to use it and possible reshaft it, I will like it more and more. If you hit the sweet spot on this club and you have at least a half-way decent swing, swing speed, and possibly shaft, this may be one of the furthest hitting drivers you will try. The club head is extremely hot and lightweight.
