Description The variable face thickness of the G5 driver is precision machined for increased performance and durability. Variable face geometry helps optimize the CG location by redistributin material from low stress areas of the face.
Summary: Check it out. I'm a 3 handicap and I hit the ball on the screws on just about every swing. I hit it long and I hit it far. This club is the bee's knees. It's the jammy back flash on the window plate. Poke it out there about 270 to 290 depending on the hole and my mood. Better than the G10, G15 and G20. The green shaft makes it look like a super sonic. Buy it now. See it fly.
Customer Service: If something breaks I buy a new one. I don't sit there on hold waiting for some schlep to get back to me.

Summary: Purchased October 2010 from 3 Balls Golf. Paid $22 with shipping. Headcover included. Aldila NV-65 gram Regular flex shaft.
Great golf club. Easy to hit well. Lines up nice. Pleasing pear shape crown. Half moon crown graphic actually helps square up the club at address.
I hit this club straight and long, consistently. Has a great !ThwacK! sound when crushing the ball.
I struggled with Drivers this past golf season. Found that I could hit a Ben Hogan Cs-3 straight, but always popped up with a looping ball flight, lost distance. The Ping cured that problem from the first ball on the driving range.
My long game is back!
Customer Service: 3Ballsgolf.com always has clean used clubs for low prices. Highly recommended!
Similar Products Used: I have bought & sold more golf drivers in the past year that you can carry in your arms. Ridiculous amount of time and effort spent to find a club I could hit well consistently. This Ping G5 is good!

Summary: This is a great driver. I used to use a Taylarmade R7 and would slice and not get any height. The g5 solved both of these; the forgiving sweet spot and offset face keeps it from slicing and launches higher. I got similar distance, but with MUCH more consistency. Great buy.
Customer Service: Excellent service. The shaft has broken twice (my fault not the club's), and ping has repaired it quickly and for free both times.

Summary: I really like this driver. Though I am rather new to golf, I can definitely tell that this club has dramatically improved my shots off the tee. I was using a Taylormade R580 xd, and was hitting a huge slice with no distance. Now, with the G5, when I hit it correctly, the ball carries 225 w/ a 90 mph swing speed. The best part is, it truly corrected my slice. Knowing how awful and inconsistent my swing is, I would have to give it an excellent rating on forgiveness and sweet spot as well.
Customer Service: Never used.
