The Super CV Pro is a titanium driver with tungsten-copper weighting in the rear of the club head. The center of gravity (CG) is positioned rearward and deep within the club head, which significantly widens the sweet spot for added forgiveness. The mid CG creates a mid–high, ball flight that makes it easy to get the ball airborne.
Summary: I decided to give this driver a try after having very positive results with Sonartec's other driver the Ti-01. This club was recently purchased on eBay for $44, $4 higher than the cost of the other driver also from there. I also wanted to compare the clubs side by side. I found that both clubs felt very smooth and long without trying to swing hard. I typically slice any driver below 10 degrees of loft, and was very pleasantly surprised by this club, it produced a moderate fade with a low, penetrating, very fast ball flight. Although this club is designed to be more forgiving than the Ti-01, I found not much difference between them in that regard. Furthermore, apart from the slight difference due to loft (my Ti-01 is 10 degrees), there was not much to choose between them in terms of distance, but I believe the CV Pro was slightly longer. In my view both clubs are quite forgiving and powerful, and one cannot go too far wrong with either model. Both clubs offer similar feel in solid hits and similar sound as well. The Ti-01 has a deeper driving cavity than the CV Pro.
The CV Pro had an ETA stiff shaft - it felt to me somewhere between the regular Penley shaft on the Ti-01 and the stiff Irod shaft on the Md 15 hybrid. I swing about 100mph and found both driver shafts very comfortable and playable.
Sonartec's reputation was built primarily on its superior fairway woods and excellent (some would say also superior) hybrids. While these drivers may not have the same reputation, I consider them to be excellent clubs as well, certainly the equal of any other brand I have played. Anyone who likes this brand should "take a flyer" and try one out for the very modest price they are selling for now (unlike the $500 to $600 range when they came out). Although these clubs are reputed to be "for better players", I would say they will help players at any level.

Summary: Finally a 3 wood that is my friend. I hit this club nearly as long as my Driver (So I special Ordered the CV PRo Driver, go to www.sonartecdirect.com they still have a few left for $100). Boring flight, Razor straight eay to see why 180 pros used this club with Zero endorsement money. The people at Sonartec are the nicest to deal with.
This is the ultimate par 5 weapon, a 3 wood that you can absolutely count on.
Customer Service: Best ever, They are kind, freindly and accomodating. Still a small copany that cares about each customer.
Similar Products Used: Taylormade, Calaway, somehow they figured out something the big boys haven't.

Model Reviewed: Super CV Pro 9 deg. w/ Sonartec stiff shaft
Summary: I first purchased the Sonartec SS-03 15 degree 3-wood based on reading so many positive reviews on the net. It's the best 3-wood I've ever owned. By far the farthest hitting and the most forgiving fairway wood to date. Now I can look like a pro hitting beautiful fairway shots that pierce through the wind to about 250-270 yards with roll.
I was so impressed with my first Sonartec club purchase, I thought I give the Super CV Pro driver a try and purchased one when I was able to find a 9 degree with a stiff shaft. Don't be fooled by the modest CC of the head size. With the driving cavity design and their propriety heat-treated titianium head, this driver has the forgiveness of a large-headed driver with the crisp feel and snap of a smaller-headed driver. I'd say it's more forgiving than my short-lived 365cc Titleist 983K 9.5 degree, and has a crisper feel at contact than the beloved Callaway GBB 9 degree. It's got a boring tragectory and soars slightly at the far end, just like what Sonartec said it would do. Also, the driver has a pleasant "ptinkkk" sound, unlike the hollow pop gun, cowbell clank, or muted thud sounds of other drivers that annoys after a few buckets or rounds.
The other problem I had with my earlier drivers was that my 100-110 MPH swing speed didn't agree with the stock shafts that came with the driver. Even the specialty shafts that came with my four drivers didn't satisfy me. The Sonartec proprietary shaft in stiff flex suits my swing perfectly. (I believe it's a pre-spined Penly, but they offer other specialy shaft brands as well.) I'm in the fairway, whether I stand tall and swing easy, or firm up and step on it. Armed with my Sonartec SS-03 3-wood to finish up the job, I'm a lethal weapon to those par 5's.
I understand that the greatest asset to a small company is word of mouth and positive customer feedbacks. Here's mine.
Customer Service: Excellent. I had a chance to meet the Sonartec staff in Carlsbad. They are a customer oriented customer. No wonder their products are so popular with the pros.
