Description The slightly shallower front-to-back profile produces a flatter initial launch angle. The neutral internal weighting and slightly lower and forward CG location promote a boring trajectory and low spin...
Summary: The 983E is the best driver made by Titleist to date. Just bought D3 with Proforce Red Stiff (tried several shafts) beacuse I felt I "had" to get updated driver. I was worong! The D3 is nice traditionally shaped driver, but does not even close to my 983E in performance (have two with different shafts). Titleist did it right with teh "E" and should be placed in hall of fame of drivers.
Customer Service: Titleist A+ on service...repaired collector SC putter in short time...as new...always first rate in responsiveness.
Similar Products Used: Drivers: TaylorMade R7, various Callaways, Titleists, Pings, Mizunos (Driver ok, but you have to love their irons!).

Summary: I've played Taylor Made and Callaway and this club, even though it is not the newest Titleist out, is still the most comfortable to hit and the longest I've hit so far. I like the more traditional pear shaped head. My Dad gave it to me about 1.5 yrs ago. When swinging well, it's 320 yds+ everytime.

Summary: Love this club , take it out on the driving range, and booms straight when you set up real good , hat that pingy frying pan sound coming off some of these drivers out there, when i hit this thing bullzeye , theres no sweeter sound off a driver then hitting a 983e , got mine for 50 bucks , and great investment , i know i need to get better , when i do i can really appreciate this club , played with some guys and they were like , dude you need to go to a long distance driving tournament, not the longest club out there , but when you hit it right , deffiantely one of the most rewarding sound you can get . Titleist will keep selling drivers if there like and sound like the 983e .

Summary: Great Club. Had been using a Nike 350, but could never get used to the club setting up closed at address. I've never had a problem hitting a hook, so the closed face didn't help much. Bought the 983e from Callaway Preowned for $45. This driver has the best trajectory of any club I've ever hit. I can hit it a mile. I'm consistently longer than my dad and his buddy. The 983 also feels much better than any other driver I've used.
Customer Service: Never needed.
