Innovex RLS 3 Hybrid Steel

Summary:
Finally a hybrid I can hit straight!

After buying an Innovex CfD driver and seeing how good their craftsmanship is and experiencing truly great customer service from Kevin Dowing and his team, I took a flier on their RLS Hybrid. I have tried several hybrids (Adams, TM Rescue, Precept, Mizuno Fli Hi, Tour Edge Bazooka Tour) and just couldn't find one that I hit consistently or that gave me confidence on the course.

I started with their 4 Hybrid with stock FST Steel shaft. This club was easy to hit, but I wasn't getting the distance I wanted from it. I can hit my 5 iron 180-190 and needed something that could get me out to 205-215 if it was really going to bump my 3 or 4 iron out of the bag.

The 4 Hybrid gave a nice consistent high draw but I was only getting 185-190 out of it.

A quick call to Kevin at Innovex and the 4 was on its way back and a 3 Hybrid with upgraded S300 shaft to match my irons was on the way with just a slight up charge for the shaft.

This set-up is perfect for me, an easy swing results in a nice, straight boring ball flight with about 200-205 yards of carry. If I get on it I can hit it 220.

The club has a nice weight to it and works well out of the rough and I can make it cut when I need to. The weight also makes it work well as a chipper around the greens and I have been experimenting with this as well.

All and all I say I found a hybrid that can stay in my bag either as a replacement for my 4 iron (I like carrying the 3 to get me out of trouble) or a companion to my 4 wood on tight courses when I leave the 3 and 5 woods at home.

I wouldn't hesitate to give Innovex a look if you are in the market for a hybrid.

Outstanding
