Nike SasQuatch SQ2 Fairway Woods Review

Nike SasQuatch SQ2

Description
The new SasQuatch 2 Fairway Woods feature a new Monorail Sole design which cuts through all types of lies. In addition, Nike has added weight to the perimeter of the Nike PowerBow to move the center of gravity further back than the original SasQuatch Fairway Wood, which results in higher launch and greater distance. Nike tops it all off with a new Cryo Steel face for a larger and hotter sweet spot.

SQ2 3 & 5 Woods

Summary:
I played the 3 and 5 woods reshafted with Prolaunch Platinum graphite shafts. The 3w is long when hit on the screws. The 5w is shorter in distance than comparable 5 woods. May be due to the fact Nike's 5 woods are shorter in length than most other 5w's in the market. The feel is crisp and strong. I emailed NIke and Cryo face is 475 steel. The face is harder feeling than any other wood I've tried. The head shape is nice and small with a rounded bottom. Overall nice clubs but the SQ2's did not suit my preference.

Customer Service:
Nike has excellent customer service. Probably the best as of now.

Summary:
I bought this 5 wood because i have nike irons and it was a solid feel when i handled it. The first time i hit it i knew it would be my favorite club. I recently bought a ping g10 3 wood and quickly returned it the next day. I took the monry i got back and bought the SQ2 3 wood. i love these clubs.

Sasquatch Hybrids

Summary:
The new Nike Hybrid 3 (20 loft) is my "go to" club. Hits long-straigt-high, great for confidence on tight tees and fairways. Good chance you make your 2nd on the green on your par4s even if you don't bomb your drive - lands real soft on the green and stays there. I would probably score best going out with just this club and a few lofted irons/wedges and putter (interesting test to seriously consider).
Consider - I am 43, 6ft, not very agile and mostly arms in my swing. Been playing for 2 years.

I have less control and consistancy with the new SQ2 3 wood (15 loft), that extra shaft length and clubhead size adds an extra 20 yards over my 3 hybrid, especially in roll, but when considering distance vs. accuracy, the 3 hybrid is a winner with me.
