Summary: LOVE LOVE LOVE this club. I hit it anywhere from 225-190 depending on swing speed. Ive only been golfing 2 years and picked this up used in hopes of reaching par 5's in 2. i have done it a handful of times with this club, a few times from the rough. I cant work shots left or right real well, im a straight hitter. but i can intentionally hit a slice or draw with this and it works wonders.
when im struggling with the driver, i will pull this out and hit it 220 every time right where i want to.
easy to control, even for a novice like myself! great product ping
i even just picked up a used 25*

Summary: Wonderful club (steel S300)... Replaces my 5,4,3 irons and pending strength of swing, I can accommodate 180-220 yard soft landing/drilled shots.

Summary: I've owned numerous fairway woods since started playing golf several years ago. But non of them have been my "Bread & Butter" club. Especially on the day my driver is off or on tight fairway situations. I was fortunate to find a pair of demo G5 3 and 5 wood on sale. So I tested them. G5 head size is perfect, looks great and gives me confidence at address. I had both of them reshafted with Graphite Design Tour AD Quattrotech and took them out on course for the 1st time. They were very impressive. I used the 3 wood at the T-Box on almost every hole. It was very "HOT" of the tee around 240+ yards. Control was superb. On the last hole PAR 5 my distance was sround 260 yards, further than all my friends who used their drivers!!!Finally I've found my "Bread & Butter" club.

Model Reviewed: ping G5 fairway 3 wood
Summary: The G5 3 wood, 15 degree loft with prolaunch shaft.......a great, solid club to have in the bag. Use this when the driver gets quirky and get decent distances with it (average about 250yds). The prolaunch shaft gives a high ball flight which is fine, great off the tee, off the fairway perhaps needs to be a 'fluffy' lie really as quite a deep face. Only one issue with this club is in the setting up, will quite regularly send this ball right(not a slice/fade) if dont take the time to really set the head up in the correct direction, maybe this is me or maybe the head is slightly distracting, either way, if you do take the time to set up correctly, you wont be dissappointed. Im not able to work a ball so cant comment on the clubs ability or otherwise to do this. Best results off the tee are with an easy swing and a low tee( 1/4"). Hope this proves helpful, would have had 5 stars but for the head set up issue
